Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Mitchell noticed a large number of cracks on his basement brick walls. Not wanting to take any risks, he contacted Ayers. Upon arrival, our foreman Randy was able to listen to the home owner's concerns and inspect the area. He found bowing on many of the walls and prescribed GeoLock anchors to correct the problem.

GeoLock anchors are installed by digging out the soil outside of the cracked wall. A large metal anchor is secured in place and reburied. On the opposite side inside the home, a large metal plate is alined with the anchor and tightened till constant pressure pulls the wall back into place and permanently holds it there.

Lawrence and Susan were feeling as if their home was being split in half because both ends of the home were sinking. The sinking was causing cracks in the basement walls and some cracks in the drywall on the main floor as well. They wanted to make this a permanent home once they retire so they knew the issues needed to be fixed. We had just the solution to stabilize the home and lift it back up! We used Push Piers because the soil conditions of this home were unknown so it was the best option for a permanent solution. 

We responded to an inquiry from Guy, a homeowner looking for better foundation support. He realized the floors were sagging and the wooden support structures were failing. Guy called Ayers for our foundation repair solutions. Our crew inspected his basement's current support situation and determined SmartJacks would provide the appropriate support required. SmartJacks will not rot or warp like the wooden support beams Guy previously had. The system was installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists. They rest on a sturdy base in the subfloor. Once the support columns were installed, the crew adjusted them to raise the floors to a level position. Guy is satisfied with the results now that he has a permanent solution to support his home's foundation!

Mark noticed the slant in his living room floor was deepening and wasn't sure how to fix it. After researching his options, he called Ayers for help, and we sent our specialists to his home. After evaluating the space, they recommended installing the SmartJacks supplemental support system. SmartJacks are floor jacks built to last, hot-dipped in galvanized steel, and zinc-plated. Each base is also implanted two feet below the surface to reduce load-bearing stress. Mark loves the new feel of his living room!

He needed a more substantial support system, so we had our crew inspect the area to determine the best replacement. Our System Design Specialists recommended our SmartJacks. This solution will effectively support sagging beams and floor joists or provide supplemental column support where an existing column and pier foundation has settled. This solution utilizes a strong, steel foundation base installed in the subfloor for the home to sit on. The steel columns are attached to this base and can be extended in the future. We installed a steel supplemental support beam above the columns for additional help. Tomas was happy with the new support system that keeps his home stable and safe!
