Nicole's block basement walls showed clear signs of bowing. This concerned the family because they were looking to stay in this 1970s home and make it their retirement home after their adult children had all left. Although there were no signs of water intrusion through the cracks in the bowed walls, the gaps in the blocks were visible which could mean that the foundation settlement had been ongoing for some time. We installed the CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System which uses carbon fiber straps which are bonded to the interior face of the wall. The benefits of this system is that Tit requires no excavation, does not impact plans to finish the basement and installs quickly.
Brandon noticed the walls outside his home were cracking, and he didn't want them to cave in, so he researched and called Ayers for help. Our crew of experts visited his home to assess the problem, and they recommended installing GeoLock wall anchors. The wall anchors are made of galvanized steel and fastened to the compromised wall. A ground anchor is placed away from the house in undisturbed soil and connected to the wall anchor by a steel rod. Brandon feels more comfortable knowing his wall is secure!
Margo noticed her walls were bowing in her basement and she knew she better call up professionals to inspect these serious issues. After her call with Ayers, we sent out a crew and it was decided the PowerBrace Foundation Wall Repair System would be a great solution.
PowerBrace consists of a steel beam that is secured to joists above the wall with steel brackets. This wall repair system will stop any wall movement, ensuring it stays secure in place. This system can straighten the wall and can even be tightened as you desire
Margo is thrilled to have this foundation wall secured as it eases any worries she had about her home's security!
Mitchell realized his foundation was severely degrading. Cracks formed, and blocks from the block foundation were missing. Mitchell decided it was time to find a solution for his home and contacted Ayers. An Ayers specialist thoroughly inspected his home and concluded the foundation walls were bowing. GeoLock Wall Anchors were suggested to permanently stabilize the foundation. GeoLock Anchors utilize a base buried outside the basement for an anchor point. Additionally, a rod is drilled through the foundation wall and to the anchor point where it is connected, allowing the plate on the interior side of the wall to be attached. Once the anchor system is set up and secured, the system can be tightened. For Mitchell, the GeoLock Wall Anchor permanently stabilized his foundation!
Dorothy worried the cracks in her foundation walls would continue to grow and deepen. She knew these cracks could lead to significant damage, so she called Ayers for help. We sent our experts to her home and installed the PowerBrace repair system to secure the wall and prevent further damage. PowerBraces are steel beams connected to joists above the wall with steel brackets. Dorothy feels much better with a permanently stabilized wall!
