We received a call from a stressed homeowner in Knox, IN who was concerned about her 118-year-old home's foundation support. GeoLock Anchors consist of an interior anchor plate that rests on the inside foundation wall. Then a steel cable is drilled through the plate, the wall, and the soil to a predetermined distance from the home. Another plate is then anchored to the other end of the cable in stable soil. Soil pressure is the root cause of bowed foundation walls, so placing them in stable soil is vital. This system can also be tightened over time, potentially straightening the walls at the same time.
