Barbara basement walls were cracking, and she worried if they were left untreated, those cracks would continue to grow. She needed help, so she researched and called Ayers to learn about our solutions. A team of experts visited her property to evaluate and recommend a solution. They suggested GeoLock wall anchors, which are anchored to the failing wall and connected to a ground anchor by a steel rod. The ground anchor is placed away from the home in solid, undisturbed soil to secure the connection. Barbara feels more comfortable in her home!
This customer called because he noticed significant cracking in his basement wall. Our team of experts visited his home and found a sure sign of wall failure: horizontal cracking. Horizontal cracks usually start out small and continue to increase in size over time. Without a proper fix, the soil outside of his home will continue to put constant pressure on the wall, causing it to crack and bow inward even further. This can cause serious problems for a homeowner in the future if it is not taken care of.
To prevent his wall from failing we decided to install the Geo-Lock anchor system. This system involved the installation of steel earth anchors underneath the soil out away from the home. These anchors are then connected and secured to steel plates located on the foundation wall using steel rods. This ensures your wall is stabilized and will not continue to bow inward any further. A great benefit of these wall anchors is that the rods can be tightened during dry periods when the soil is not pushing on the house as much, which can begin to straighten the wall over time.
Jason and Lindsey had a long horizontal crack running the length of one of their basement walls. So they called our team and we installed the GeoLock Anchor System. This system permanently stabilized their wall. In most cases it can eventually straighten the wall back to its original position. It is done by putting heavy anchors in stable soil away from your foundation wall which involves minimal disturbance to your lawn.
Cracks in Robert's basement walls were allowing water in, so he called our team. We installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them back to their original position.
As you can see, this Battle Creek home had a bowing wall in the basement that they wanted fixed. We installed CarbonArmor to the wall to keep it from cracking and moving further. CarbonArmor includes flexible carbon fiber straps that are stronger in tension than steel. The straps are bonded to the interior face of the wall using a high strength resin. This system requires no exterior excavation, installs quickly, and won't impact future basement finishing.
