All Todd wanted was his peace of mind back. The crawl space in their summer home, where the whole family gathers, was letting in excessive amounts of moisture. He was worried not only about potential structural damage the moisture would cause but the mold that results from it. Their home is supposed to be a safe, happy, and healthy place for their family to get together, so Todd called Ayers. Our crew determined that CleanSpace Wall System and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier would be the best solution.
The CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in the home's crawlspace. This system circulates the now dry air through the home and automatically removes the leftover water so you don't have to.
Todd was overjoyed that his family would continue to have a happy and safe place to come together. His peace of mind has finally returned and he can't wait for all the fun he and his family will have this summer.
Craig and Linda's crawlspace desperately needed work done to it. The crawl space was always damp, and it was visible that the area had been weathered. Craig and Linda grew tired of these problems and called Ayers. After a thorough walkthrough, the team at Ayers believed a couple of different products were needed.
The team at Ayers believed that installing CleanSpace would make a huge difference in eliminating moisture in the crawl space. CleanSpace uses a heavy, durable plastic liner that lines the crawl space. This liner provides a vapor barrier that drains any water coming into the basement behind the liner.
Craig and Linda will no longer need to worry about water and moisture getting into the basement and causing problems!
The crawl space in any building is often ignored yet, it affects your home's air quality, temperature, and foundation. Those smells, uneven floors, and cracks in the wall could stem from an under-supported and wet crawl space. Taking care of your crawl space can restore and uplift the overall quality of a home.
In this home, we installed Clean Space technology and the Smart Jack system. Clean Space is a 20-millimeter thick plastic lining that is water and mold resistant. The before photo shows a crawl space covered with a generic plastic cover; this "fix" does not prevent outside air from getting in or reject the growth of mold spores. However, our Clean Space technology provides an airtight seal that stops moisture from getting in.
To support the foundation of the home, 3 Smart Jacks were strategically positioned in the crawl space. Smart Jacks are needed when the soil, that a home sits on, can no longer support the weight of the home and or the foundation has been eaten by mold. Clean Space provides a permanent solution to the water damage while the Smart Jacks permanently fix the issue of weak soil because they dissipate the weight of the home by using more surface area (soil) to hold up the home.
Sheryl lives in an old farmhouse that had some basement walls that were starting to settle in the far corners and a cracked, bowing wall. There were no cracks, stuck windows or doors, and no sloped floors upstairs. Helical Piers and GeoLock Anchors stabilized the foundation of the home and helped to raise the walls back up the original position.
Helical Piers can have sections added to them to reach the desired depth to assist in stabilizing the home. The installation is fast, effective, and can be done year-round. GeoLock Anchors stabilize the bowing and cracked basement wall. They anchor into hard , stable soil to brace the foundation and prevent the wall from any further movement. GeoLock Anchors are installed with minimal disruption and they don't damage the basement wall.
This Manistee home is a summer cottage, only occupied for about half of the year, but it gets some water into the basement. It creates a small amount of standing water, small enough amount that can be taken care of with a mop, but Carl just wants to have a waterproofing system installed. We started with the WaterGuard drain which is a perimeter drain installed under the floor. It collects the water and sends it to the sump pump to be discharged outside the home. The SuperSump Plus is great for occasional water intrusions, provides total protection for the home, and works perfectly with the drain system. To keep the space dry and protect it from mold or rot, we installed the CleanSpace Wall System and the SaniDry XP. The CleanSpace keeps out humidity and water vapor. It also gives a clean bright look to the space. The SaniDry dehumidifier blows dry air throughout the basement, works with the drain system, and filters the air.
