Shotcrete Repairs Foundation Walls in Jackson, MI, Home

Angie noticed cracks and crevices in her home's foundation walls and knew it wasn't a good sign. After researching her options online, she decided to call Ayers for help. Our team of professionals visited her home to evaluate the situation and suggest a solution. They recommended Shotcrete, a solution that applies a concrete or mortar wet spray through a high-pressure hose to fill a form or repair damaged surfaces. Angie is happy with the final product!

Sagging Floors in Jackson, MI

Our customer’s floors were sagging and they were concerned about foundation settlement. Often, sagging floors are caused by columns under the floor being spaced too far away from one another, weak floor joists, or column settlement. Our team used PolyLevel to raise the floors inside of their home. Polylevel can be used for interior or exterior slab leveling, requires fewer holes for injection and is environmentally friendly.

PowerBrace Saves Bowing Walling in Jackson, MI

We received a call from these Jackson, MI residents complaining about a bulging basement wall. Our system design specialist immediately identified the problem as a bowing wall, a common issue for foundations caused by added pressure from surrounding soil. Thanks to a wide variety of products, we can treat bowing walls interiorly or exteriorly.  After meeting with one of our system design specialists, the couple decided they didn’t want to go through the excavation and invasiveness of an exterior solution and elected to install the PowerBrace system inside of their basement.

PowerBrace systems work by relieving the foundation wall of pressure and transferring it over to the steel beams. The beams are bolted to the floor joists in the ceiling using an adjustable bracket that will continue to force walls back to their original positions as time passes. The bottom of the beam is then attached to the concrete foundation slab. The condition of these walls will continue to improve until that “bulge” is a thing of the past.

PowerBrace Corrects Bowing Walls in Jackson, MI Basement

Mark noticed that during the harsh winter months his basement walls were shifting and bowing so he knew wall support was a need. After calling Ayers we conducted an inspection at his home so we could make the proper recommendations. This recommendation was to install PowerBrace. Outside pressures cause the basement walls to bow or tilt and with this foundation repair system in action, it will counteract these pressures. These steel beams are secured to the joists above the wall and will hold them in place. Over time they can easily be adjusted to straighten these foundation walls as well!

Jackson, MI Wall Anchor Installation

Jason noticed stair step cracks in the mortar of his brick walls and immediately called us. He was lucky in doing so beacuse the cracks were still in the early stages. Stair step shaped cracked are a clear sign of foundation issues.

Since the cracks were not fully developed, our team determined that wall anchors would be the best solution for Jason.  Wall anchors are plates the are drilled into the wall and geo locked by piers underground, the piers are placed in solid soil where they are less likely to slip. Wall anchors can only be used to prevent the problem from getting worse, which only works in cases like Jason's where the issues are in early stages.
