We were called when Jim saw that a portion of his home was settling. He noticed a large crack in the stone outside his house and knew it needed to be fixed. It was December and the homeowner was worried that the solution would have to wait. We installed Helical Piers to support the failing foundation. Our friends Tom and his daughter Julie from Leland, MI found themselves facing a foundation support issue and they knew that they would eventually need to seek help from trusted experts. Upon diagnosing their needs, we installed four Smart Jacks and a new support beam to stabilize their home. The Smart Jack is a supplemental support system for crawl space applications. The SmartJack is a support system used to stabilize and level the floor joists in a crawl space. This system can support up to 60,000 pounds. The SmartJack system is placed on strong concrete fillings that have replaced the soil in that small location underneath the SmartJack. Now, this homeowner will never have to worry about unsafe saggy floors ever again.

Jeff was looking to get better support structure posts in his crawl space to help support his home better, so he called up Ayers. After we conducted a free inspection at his home to pinpoint the best solution, it was decided he could use SmartJacks. This is a supplemental support system built for crawl space applications and made of steel columns that will support her failing support structures. This will lift the home back to its original position and ensure the home's weight is supported and stabilized. This also consists of a sturdy base installed in the ground and attached are these strong, steel columns that extend to maximize support. When our customer called wishing to install a sump pump in her crawl space to escape the endless cycle of the water softener draining into the space and causing problems, we didn't know that we would come across much worse problems.

Supports such as the ones shown in the "before" picture are unreliable and can be dangerous. When coupled with a moisture problem, the crawl space can wreak havoc on the floor of the home above the crawl space.

We replaced the unstable supports with the SmartJack assembly, which provides support and reinforcement to beams and the home's floor.
