Kevin's kitchen floor was slanted for as long as he could remember. He started several at-home projects to fix the issue, including box-brand floor jacks, but nothing worked, so he called Ayers. A team of specialists visited his home and decided to install SmartJacks, a supplemental support system of floor jacks, all hot-dipped in galvanized steel and zinc-plated to bear large loads. Kevin is happy his floor is permanently fixed!
Kort noticed the corner of their garage was heaving, noticing water entering through a gap. Wanting the safest and fastest solution they contacted Ayers. Our resident foreman Blade was able to inspect the area and noticed other signs that the foundation was not properly supporting the house. Blade and his team installed Helical Piers around the home to reintroduce foundational support.
Helical Piers are a tool trusted by Ayers due to their non-intrusive nature compared to other foundational repair systems. The piers are long screw-shaped drives that are driven deep under the home at an angle. The drives keep going till they pass the weak soil and find new firm ground. The tops of the piers are capped with load-bearing caps that provide a flat surface for the home to rest upon.
Dwayne and his wife have had a cabin for about 4 years and have a basement wall with stair step and horizontal cracking. They noticed it a little bit ago as a small crack but it has slowly started to grow and the wall looks a if it starting to bow. We installed CarbonArmor to stabilize the wall and keep the home safe. This system installs quickly, does not require excavation, and will not impact a future finished basement!
Patrick realized his floors were uneven due to his lack of foundation support in his crawl space so he called Ayers for our repair solutions. After we conducted an inspection we were able to agree on installing our SmartJacks. These are steel, adjustable columns that provide foundation support. This repair system will lift the floors to their original positions and can be extended over time for better support. The steel columns were attached to a steel supplemental beam above and and they rest on a solid base installed in the sub-floor. This solution will provide Patrick's foundation with strength and stability!
This cinderblock foundation had started to bow inward. The horizontal crack running through the center of the wall is one of the most common signs of bowing. When soil starts to expand, the pressure can push foundation wall inwards. To counteract this pressure, our crew used the PowerBrace system in the after photo. The system consists of the steel beams and the bolts that attach the beams to the floor joists. The steel beams then resist the bowing while the adjustable bolts can be tightened to push the walls back to their original position. As you can see in the after photo, the beams were installed into the foundation floor to keep them stable. The PowerBrace system will keep this foundation safe for a long time to come.
