Nicky's crawl space was riddled with moisture, and she hated the musty smell. She contacted us at Ayers Basement Systems to determine why moisture was accumulating. An inspection determined that water was leaking through the entry to the crawl space. The team suggested installing The Turtl entrance for Nicky's home. The Turtl is made from plastic that won't weather or degrade due to the weather and will provide a watertight seal to Nicky's home!
Marilyn noticed the cement block walls in her basement were leaking water, and she had no waterproofing systems or even a sump pump to deal with it. The leaks pooled on the floor, causing water damage, so she called Ayers for permanent solutions. Our team inspected the area and determined that our WaterGuard and TripleSafe sump pump systems would tackle these issues. WaterGuard is a subfloor interior drainage system that rests in a bed of drainage stone along the perimeter of the basement. This drain will collect the water creeping in through the walls and direct it to the new sump pump we added. TripleSafe is our three-in-one sump pump system that tackles heavy volumes of water. Now Marilyn has two permanent waterproofing solutions to keep her floors dry!
Marilyn's basement windows hadn't been able to open since she bought her house due to rocks and soil piling against it. She called Ayers, so we sent our crew to her home to make a recommendation. They suggested an egress window, as they're engineered to withstand rocks and heavy soil. It's also designed with steps for evacuation and a polycarbonate safety cover that won't break when stepped on. Marilyn is content with her new basement windows!
Van’s Redford, MI, rental home had persistent moisture, musty odors, and water intrusion. After installing a TripleSafe™ sump pump, WaterGuard® drainage system, and an extended discharge line, the basement is now dry, odor-free, and protected from future water damage, ensuring a healthier space for his tenants.
After intermittent water issues in the crawl space - regularly occurring but usually negligible amounts of water - our customer looked into his crawl space to find four inches of standing water.
We drained the water (the before picture is the immediate aftermath, where everything is still nice and soggy) and installed a Smart Sump to help with any future water accumulation, before encapsulating the crawl space with the CleanSpace vapor barrier system and drainage matting.
