Casandra called Ayers because she was interested in getting an Egress Window installed. We had our customer care team set up an appointment time that worked for her and the installation process began. Egress Windows are perfect for basements, especially if you're looking to finish this area as they are larger which allows for more natural light to fill the space. They are waterproof and allow for a quick, easy exit in emergency situations.
Casandra was happy with the final result as this Egress Window transformed her basement space into a regular living area!
Tom called us to fix his concrete steps and the slab leading to the steps. The steps have sunk a couple inches and look as if they are starting to pull away from the porch. Tom's wife recently had surgery on her knee and he wants the walkway and porch to be safer for her and other guests that visit. We used PolyLevel to lift the concrete back to a level position. PolyLevel is a waterproof foam that cures in about 15 minutes making it a quick, but long lasting solution to settling concrete. To seal the cracks and joints in the concrete, we used NexusPro which is a sealant that holds up in harsh weather. This prevents things from getting under the concrete and degrading it below
Mary grew up in her house but the walls were beginning to crumble and water was being let in. She wants to be able to pass it down to her children just as it was passed down to her but it needed to be structurally sound first. Mary called Ayers for an inspection and determined that Shotcrete would be the right solution for her home. Shotcrete is a sprayable concrete that stabilizes basement walls and fills any holes that let in unwanted water or air. Before the Shotcrete is sprayed, a steel cage is screwed into the walls for reinforcement. The extra air propelling the concrete out is what makes it able to be applied to vertical and sloping surfaces. Mary was beyond thankful that her home is now stable enough to be able to pas down to her daughter.
Lisa noticed water leaking into her crawl space through cracks in the floor and so she called Ayers for professional help. Our Ayers System Design Specialists determined that installing CleanSpace, SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, along with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System would be a great solution.
CleanSpace is made of a thick plastic liner that will run along the crawl space. Its vapor barrier property protects against excess moisture. This excess moisture could lead to the growth of bacteria or mold. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier is installed to remove water in the air. The now dry air will circulate throughout the crawl space. Lastly we installed TripleSafe which has three pumps that all fit in one liner. The first pump does most of the work with keeping water out, the second is there for backup, and the third pump will turn on in power outages.
Lisa was relieved to have these water leaks taken care of!
Richard had his hands full as water was seeping into his basement all along the edges of the wall. After dealing with the problems long enough, Richard decided to call Ayers, looking for waterproofing products. A System Design Specialist with Ayers went to the home for a thorough inspection. The team at Ayers concluded from the assessment that a couple of different waterproofing measures would be best for the home. While a sump pump was already present, it wasn't doing the job well enough. Thus, TripleSafe was installed, a sump pump system that houses two powerful pumps with the same liner. The lowest pump in the liner runs all the time and is very efficient. In the case of a problem with the first pump, the second pump will turn on and begin pumping water out of the home. In the case of a power outage, the secondary pump is attached to an external battery to run with no electricity. The TripleSafe sump pump will work great in pumping any water out of Richards's basement!
