Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

The large crack in the before photo occurred because the groundwater had been pushing its way through the seams of the wall. As you can see, the water had resulted in a lot of damage around the seam like water stains and widening the crack. The after photo shows our solution, the FlexiSpan crack repair system. It’s a two-layer sealant that both plugs the crack and creates a drainage route for leaking water.  Underneath the white panel in the after photo, polyurethane was used to seal the seam. Any water that pushes through the sealant will be directed down the wall into a drainage well at the foot of the wall. The FlexiSpan will stop water from coming entering this basement again.

A customer from Dewitt needed help with their small porch that became unlevel due to poor foundation soil. This 3-car driveway in Dewitt, MI had recently cracked and sunk in some areas. The homeowners wanted a long-lasting alternative to replacing the concrete slabs, so they decided to go with the PolyLevel system. The block foundation wall in the basement was cracked and unstable, which was causing the floor joists to weaken and sag. We installed the PowerBrace system to stabilize the wall and support the joists. Steel I-beams that stretched the length of the wall were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then attached to the joists above the wall. Once the system was secured into place with steel brackets, the beams acted as braces to hold the wall in place while potentially shifting it back to its proper position over time.
