Cracking in several different places was occurring in Don’s driveway. So our team installed PolyLevel, a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk. It uses a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density to lift the concrete slabs back to their original level. It is a simple process and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.
After waterproofing their home, Patricia and Glen in Watervliet, MI, noticed their basement walls bowing due to foundation settlement. To restore stability, Ayers installed GeoLock® wall anchors, reinforcing the walls and preventing further movement. Now, their home near Paw Paw Lake is safer and structurally sound for years to come.
We had been in talks with the owners of this University property since last December. After months of passing the proposal up the chain, the job was finally approved. The main concern was the regular leaking of the basement walls. For any basement waterproofing, one of the key aspects is a sump pump system. The hole shown in the before photo is an open sump that was installed in the home previously. It wasn’t able to keep up with the heavy water load that was regularly flowing into the home. After talks with one of the system design specialist, the owners decided on one of our most reliable sump pump systems, the SuperSump.
Seen in the after photo, the SuperSump is capable of discharging over 2,000 gallons of water per hour and has an optional backup pump that will keep water out even if the power goes out. Also, unlike the previous sump, the SuperSump comes equipped with a lid to keep out any type of debris that could clog the system. With the SuperSump and several other waterproofing products included in this installation, this basement won’t have to worry about leaking walls again.
The customer’s home used to be a garage but then had several add-ons. The home was placed on three separate concrete slabs, some of which were starting to sink. It seemed that water from the yard was washing out the soil underneath the concrete slab, which was causing the settling issue.
We started by removing the carpeting in the rooms in order the install the PolyLevel system. This system worked to raise and level out the concrete slabs while dealing with the weak soils below that were no longer able to hold the weight of the home above. We drilled multiple small holes into the concrete slabs in order to inject them with a polymer material that expanded to lift and level out the concrete. Once injected, the system only needed about 15 minutes to fully cure and the slabs were then stabilized and lifted to their proper level.
The homeowner in Bangor, MI had a concrete block wall that had moved a few inches and was starting to bow. The home suffered damage from a tornado and a few other unforseen circumstances. The homeowners wanted to use this house as their retirement home so something needed to be done.
Our professional team installed PowerBraces to support the basement wall and allow for potential straightening over time. The PowerBraces patented system allows for the tightening of the wall to improve the condition of the wall over time. The beams are zinc coated making them resistant to corrosion, reduces abrasion and wear, and creates a non-toxic surface. The beams also have a clean cut apperance. The PowerBrace system utilizes a joist reinforcement method which distributes the load of the home, evenly as to not damage your floor system.
Thanks to the PowerBrace system, the homeowners wall is well on its way to being fixed!
