With the basement walls primarily made of stone, moisture and high humidity became a serious problem when water began to find its way through. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed to keep the moisture out of the air and reduce mold growth and musty smells by allowing water to drain while protecting the room from ambient moisture.

In this case, a contractor tried to simply fill a wall crack with epoxy, but the leak causing the crack didn't really care and continued to leak and, therefore, crack.
