Jeff was tired of handling this frustrating water intrusion issue that was ongoing in his basement so he called Ayers. After an inspection was conducted it was recommended by our System Design Specialists that he could use our WaterGuard System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System. WaterGuard is a sub-floor drainage system placed along the basement's perimeter and works to catch any water seeping in through the walls. TripleSafe is a three pump system that fits in one trusty liner that will pump the water out and keep the water off his belongings. He was glad to get this water intrusion handled before matters got worse!
Faced with persistent flooding in his 1950s East Lansing church, Farid sought a permanent solution to protect the building from water damage. Ayers Basement Systems installed an exterior crock, grate lids, and a straight discharge line with a bubbler pot to manage excess water efficiently. With careful planning and execution, the church is now dry and secure, allowing the congregation to worship without worry.
Marilyn realized outside water had pooled on her basement floor and didn't know how it got there or how to remove it. After researching her options online, she called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. Our specialists visited her home to examine the space and suggested installing CleanSpace, a vapor barrier constructed of antimicrobial material to prevent mold growth. CleanSpace is applied entirely to the walls and floor of the basement to encapsulate the space and eliminate moisture entry. Marilyn is relieved to have a dry basement!
Charles hated his basement windows and had been since he bought his house. He knew there had to be other, more attractive options, so he called Ayers. We sent a team of experts to evaluate the situation and recommend a solution. They suggested the installation of an egress window, which is designed to provide an escape during emergencies. It's also durable enough to withstand heavy soil and water weight and has a polycarbonate safety cover that won't break when stepped on. Charles loves his new basement window!
The basement wall had a small, non-functional glass block window, which didn’t meet the safety standards required for an egress window. This meant the basement didn’t have proper ventilation, light, or an emergency exit. The foundation was also a concern, with potential issues related to water leakage and radon exposure. A larger egress window was installed, greatly improving safety by providing a proper emergency exit and allowing more natural light and ventilation. The foundation was also addressed, with waterproofing measures taken to prevent leaks, and radon mitigation steps were implemented to ensure a safer indoor environment. The basement is now structurally sound, properly ventilated, and up to code.
