Tom called us because he wanted his rim joists insulated. Small cracks and seams can exist around rim joists, but after insulating them all of those cracks are sealed off. Now airflow is restricted keeping outside air out and inside air in.
At Ayers’ Basement Systems, making your home safe and comfortable is our top priority. That’s why when Sidney told us about her husband’s health concerns, we gladly took on the task of installing replacement egress windows that were up-to-code, beautifully crafted, and that provide a variety of benefits.
Our egress window wells feature durable, built-in steps that allow easy access to a safe exit in case of an emergency. They are even equipped with polycarbonate window well covers that can hold up to 500 pounds of weight.
Where the floor and wall meet in Bryttne’s basement water was intruding. She tried repairing it to prevent water intrusion, but nothing was working so she called our team. We installed TripleSafe to waterproof her basement. TripleSafe is a Sump Pump system that’s main goal is to keep your basement dry. This system provides ultimate protection because it has three pumps, including one battery powered pump. The battery powered pump will allow this system to continue to work even during power outages. Bryttne will no longer worry about her basement flooding even during extreme weather conditions.
Ramon recently purchased his home. The floors of the basement were severely cracked and allowed water to surface through the cracks. Wanting to solve the issue as soon as possible, Ramon contacted Ayers.
When our resident foreman Bruce arrived, he was able to listen to Ramon's concerns and draft a treatment plan that would solve the issues and make sure the home would not need any further repair.
To help with the access water Bruce installed a TripleSafe pump and a WaterGuard system. The Tripple safe is a powerful sump pump trusted by Ayers. The pump has three measures of defense, the 1st being a powerful motor that rarely gets overworked. The 2nd level is a backup motor that activates if the water overcomes the 1st motor. The final level of defense is a reserve battery that activates if the home ever loses power. WaterGuard is a series of channels installed underneath the basement floor. The channels divert any water the sump pump cannot control out and away from the home.
The homeowners had a vertical crack on the interior wall of their basement.
Our professional team decided that the FlexiSpan crack repair system was the best option for these homeowners. The first response to a cracked basement wall is often an application of patching mortar or masonry sealant.
Unfortunately, this quick fix rarely works because of poor adhesion to the masonry or a slight movement along the crack that breaks the seal. The FlexiSpan system is a three part process. The first step is to apply a flexible sealant along the crack. The second step is to put a strip of flexible and porous foam over the crack. The last step is to put an impermeable membrane adhesive along both sides of the flexispan. This fail-safe treatment allows any future seepage of water through the crack to move invisibly down the wall and into the basement’s perimeter drainage system.
