Tom of Williamsburg, MI was so eager to have a crack in his basement wall patched up that he removed the drywall for the crew before they arrived. To repair the actual crack, the crew used our FlexiSpan system. The FlexiSpan system works by using two different layers of a flexible sealant. After the first layer is placed into the crack to plug the leak, a second layer is then applied to span the wall and create a pathway for any excess water to drain. But first, the crew installed a drainage system at the foot of the wall, so that any leaking water would have somewhere to go. The waterproof seal will provide the wall with much-needed protection, and after snapping a BrightWall panel into place, the room is just a paint job away from its former beauty.
Jordan had a basement crack that had some water seepage as well as some water seepage from the area immediately below his sump pump discharge. With the water seepage confined to these 2 small areas, we were able to use FlexiSpan to solve the problem. The slab foundation was excavated immediately below the cracks and a dry well a few gallons deep was dug out. This is a space where the water will flow and work its way back into the the ground. The well is filled with stone and the concrete is replaced. A gap along the base of the wall remains open to allow the water seepage to flow into the well. Finally the cracks are covered with a foam layer followed by a layer of our mold and mildew resistant CleanSpace material. The foam creates a space for water to move freely down the wall and the CleanSpace material creates a vapor barrier and allow the water to flow without being seen or noticed, plus it looks great on the walls. Jordan's problem is solved.
Michael had renovated his basement and needed to have a secondary exit installed. He contacted us at Ayers Basement Systems, and an inspection was set up and conducted. Our team determined where the egress window would go, and our team got to work. The installation went smoothly, leaving Michael thrilled to have a great-looking egress window!
Alisa was sick of having a dirt-floor crawl space and noticed extra moisture in her home. Thinking the two could be connected, she decided to turn to the experts and call Ayers. When our specialists examined the condition of her crawl space, it was clear CleanSpace was the way to go. Made from an antimicrobial material, installed as an uninterrupted barrier, and much more durable than a store-bought tarp, CleanSpace is the best option. CleanSpace will fix the issue the first time, eliminating moisture, stopping mold growth, and deterring pests. Alisa was relieved that Ayers made her crawl space look so much better!
The signs of water damage are visible in this Atlanta, MI basement, as the first picture shows. Water had been seeping in through the concrete blocks of these foundation walls, and with nowhere for it to go, it remained along the bottom of the wall.
The solutions our team installed to address this issue were the WaterGuard system and a TripleSafe sump pump. WaterGuard is a sub-floor drainage system that sits on top of the footing, capturing water from any leaks and rerouting it to the sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump is the only of its kind—with three sump pumps in one liner, it functions even if one pump can’t keep up. A sump pump like this works to effectively pump water caught by the WaterGuard system out of your basement, keeping it dry at all times.
