Casey and her family want to give an upgrade to the basement in their home by creating a living area as well as some extra bedrooms. Due to having rooms downstairs, she wanted to make sure that the area was safe so she called us about Egress windows and wells. We came and installed 2 Egress windows and wells to the basement. The windows are large enough to allow safe exit out of the space in case of an emergency and allow more natural light into the area. The wells The well that is around the window is made up of one piece so that it will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. The wells are also engineered for safety because there ladders or sturdy steps attached to make it easy to get out!
Lucas from Grass Lake, MI was having water issues in his basement. His sump pump had been running full time the entire fall, and water was beginning to seep through the floor around where the sump pump was. In order to stop water from seeping in and preventing further damage, we decided to install our TripeSafe Sump Pump.
TripleSafe has three sump pumps that all fit into one liner. This is important because three pumps won’t become overwhelmed with higher pumping demands like a single pump would. Also, if the power goes out in your home, the third pump serves as a battery-operated backup, meaning that it will take care of any business that needs to be handled until the power comes back on. Lucas' old sump pump simply couldn't handle all of the water that was coming in, but with TripleSafe, no amount of water is ever too much for this beast.
In terms of waterproofing your basement, there simply isn't a superior option to our TripleSafe Sump Pump.
Mike was on the hunt to replace his previous sump pump system that was not doing the trick anymore. He saw that Ayers had some great solutions for this stressful issue so he made the call. A free inspection was then conducted and our System Design Specialists determined that our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, IceGuard, and our LawnScape Outlet would work best for his situation.
The TripleSafe offers triple protection with its three pumps that fit in one durable liner that will help keep water out of Mike's basement. The first pump will do most of this work, while the second is there for the rare case that the first fails or needs backup, and the last pump is there in case his power goes out since it is battery-operated. We also installed IceGuard outside his home to protect his exterior discharge lines from harsh weather that could cause the lines to freeze or clog. Finally, we installed our LawnScape Outlet to the end of this exterior discharge line which will allow downspout water to escape.
Now that Mike has a sufficient waterproofing system, he doesn't have to stress about water damage in his home!
Bernie and Cathleen have lived in the house for the past 15 years and have finished off the basement over that time. This year they found water leaking in from the north wall. They want to stop that leakage as they are not sure if they are staying or not long term. They may refinish the basement, as all the kids are now grown and moved out. Wanting a plan of action that was comprehensive and fairly priced, they contacted Ayers to come to inspect the area. Our Foreman Bruce discussed the issues and concerns the couple had with them and drafted a solution plan that everyone agreed upon.
The current sump system of the home was working well so Bruce and his team installed a WaterGuard system to help control the extra water.
WaterGuard is a system of channels installed under the foundational floor, out of sight, and starts at the sump pump, directing any water the pump cannot control and leading it far away from the home.
All Todd wanted was his peace of mind back. The crawl space in their summer home, where the whole family gathers, was letting in excessive amounts of moisture. He was worried not only about potential structural damage the moisture would cause but the mold that results from it. Their home is supposed to be a safe, happy, and healthy place for their family to get together, so Todd called Ayers. Our crew determined that CleanSpace Wall System and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier would be the best solution.
The CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in the home's crawlspace. This system circulates the now dry air through the home and automatically removes the leftover water so you don't have to.
Todd was overjoyed that his family would continue to have a happy and safe place to come together. His peace of mind has finally returned and he can't wait for all the fun he and his family will have this summer.
