Kim had been finding water in her basement for a while. Her only solution was to use a shop vacuum to keep up with the water leakage. To prevent water from entering her home, our team installed Egress Windows and Wells. Most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home due to poor insulation around the window. Egress windows will help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house.
Ted called our team because he needed new basement windows and so we installed Egress Windows. Due to poor insulation around the window, most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home. Egress windows help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house. So, our team installed an Egress window which will help keep Ted’s condominium better insulated.
The back patio in the photos of this St. Joseph, MI home was a great place for the owners to kick back and relax at the end of the day. But as of lately, it had been causing a few headaches as well. The patio’s concrete slab was sloping towards the house, so whenever it rained water would puddle up at the door or enter the home.
The crew used TrenchDrain to give the owners the protection they were looking for. As you can see in the after photo, the drain spans across the entire doorway to keep every part of the home dry and protected. TrenchDrains can be either interior or exterior and are placed below floor level at low points or dips in the ground. The drains then act just like trenches and let gravity do the rest. These homeowners are now free to enjoy their back patio the way that they intended to.
Customer had a moisture barrier in the crawl space installed by another company that had failed to keep water out. The homeowner complained of several leaks in the space. We installed a perimeter drainage system to capture moisture from the walls and floor and transport it to the newly installed sump pump. We also installed SilverGlo panels on the walls to provide extra insulation once the owner decided to finish the basement with a waterproof wall covering. These foam wall panels are made of small graphite particles that reflect heat. They also serve as a radiant barrier to reflect heat back into your crawl space.
Laura's St. Joseph, MI home, built by her father in the 1960s, had always been dry until a recent summer storm caused basement flooding. Wanting to protect the home for future generations, she sought a permanent waterproofing solution. Our team installed a SuperSump® and TripleSafe™ sump pumps, WaterGuard® system, and window well ducts to keep the basement dry. Now, Laura and her family can confidently maintain their home for years to come.
