A sump pump is essentially a pump that sits in a hole collecting water and pumping it out of your basement. While most homes have one, few have an effective one. Often times they can sit in a muddy hole, getting clogged the second the water and dirt mix, which defeats the whole purpose of the pump!
TripleSafe is a sump pump that contains 3 sumps all in one sturdy liner. The liner has holes in it to accept water from the ground and a larger hole to accept water from the perimeter drainage system. 1 of the pumps allow it to function in the event that the first one can't keep up or fails. The 3rd pump is battery operated, and will kick in in case the power goes out. TripleSafe ensures that no matter what, water is always being emptied from your home.
Denise had noticed stair step cracks on her basement wall and took the issue into her own hands. She filled the cracks with traditional sealant because it was advertised as a quick fix. Luckily, she called us because stair step cracks are a tell tale sign of foundation issues and there is no "quick fix" for foundation problems.
Our team determined that her basement walls were still in the early stages of cracking. This meant that our team could install Wall Anchors, which are braces that hold your wall still and will prevent the issue from getting worse. These wall anchors are a permanent solution for Denise's stair step cracks and our team even covered the the cracks to make her basement more appealing.
With water coming from the corner of the basement AND around the window, this customer was at her wit's end trying to fix the leak and resulting mold. She had already tried everything from a window well cover to backfilling the area outside to reduce the leakage with no luck. Then she called Ayers.
We installed a SuperSump system and Everlast Window as well as a WellDuct window drain to direct all of the water to our WaterGuard floor drain system, and now her basement is dry and mold-free.
This home built in the 1800’s never had issues with water in their basement until recently. The old stone walls on one end of the basement started to leak just below the ledge in the wall. The perfect solution for this was WaterGuard. This drainage system consists of specially designed piping that is laid on top of the footing of the foundation with the purpose of catching wall leaks. The water that’s collected is then rerouted along the perimeter of the room to the sump pump where it’s pumped out of the basement. Who knows how many more years this house can stick around now that its basement is dry!
Brittany just moved into her Charlotte, MI home and was looking to address the water problems she noticed in the basement. She called Ayers to look into possible solutions. We sent a crew to inspect the leaks and it was decided she would need our WaterGuard System, SuperSump Plus, along with our IceGuard.
The WaterGuard System will be a great defense against these leaks as it is a sub-floor drainage system installed around the perimeter of the basement and will collect water or dirt. This will be concealed with concrete poured over the system and if she wants, Brittany can have regular flooring installed over this. The SuperSump Plus will pump out 2200 gallons of water each hour, it is perfect for the occasional water leak in basements. Lastly, we installed our IceGuard outside her home to protect her drainage lines from getting clogged or frozen. This will ensure her system holds up in the cold weather.
Brittany was ecstatic to get these water issues taken care of so she could start enjoying her new home, worry-free of these troubles!
