The Importance of Working with a Trusted Business

The Importance of Working with a Trusted Business - Image 1

With all of the recent flooding, it can be easy to go into panic mode and throw money at the first person with a truck and a somewhat legitimate looking business card who offers to fix the water leaks in your basement. But we - and the BBB - are here to remind you not to do that.

It costs almost nothing to make a few signs, create a Facebook page, and put up a website with a few fake reviews and poof, you’re a business. Scam artists rely on this fake legitimacy to convince you to hand over your credit card in exchange for a solution that fails, or for them to disappear entirely and leave you high and not so dry.

That’s why it’s important to work with an accredited, established, trusted business - like us, for example.

Here’s what we, or any other legitimate business, won’t do:

Go door to door. We’re not going to show up on your porch claiming we can see water problems or cracks in your foundation. We’re also not going to cold call you - if you receive a call from us, it’s because you sent in your information online or at a trade show.

Demand immediate signup. There are benefits to signing on for a project early, of course, for your home, schedule and bottom line, but it isn’t required and we aren’t going to hassle you. We’ll provide you with a written estimate at the time of your inspection and if you need time to talk it over, you’ve got it. Just let us know when we check in.

Send unvetted people. Everyone from our CEO to our interns has undergone a background check. We won’t send anyone to your home that we wouldn’t want in ours.

Here’s what we will do:

Provide information. We’ll send you a book regarding your home’s areas of concern before your inspection, as well as a bio sheet on your system design specialist. During and after your inspection, your design specialist will explain what they have found and answer any questions you have. You’re welcome to accompany the design specialist throughout the inspection so you can see what’s going on first hand. Once it’s time for your project installation, our foremen will provide the same level of explanation and information.

Provide support: Questions come up after the inspection? We’re only a phone call or an email away. Need financing? We can help with that too, as we offer many great options and have an in-house team dedicated to financing. Need to reschedule your inspection or installation? Our support staff can take care of that.

Provide quality: We use top of the line, patented products and systems for all of your waterproofing, crawl space encapsulation, and foundation repair needs. We also have a dedicated service team so if something needs attention, or you just want a check-in for the peace of mind that everything is working as usual, we can send a highly trained technician to take care of you.

Provide security. We’ve been in business since 1981 and have tens of thousands of happy customers. You can read real reviews attached to real people not only on our website (where there are thousands), but on trusted third party sites like Facebook, Google, HomeAdvisor, and Yelp. We can also provide references for past customers in your area.

Your home is your most important investment, and we’ll treat it like it’s one of our own. Don’t jump the gun with a fly by night company that might not be here tomorrow - call us today.
