Chris had several issues in his basement that stemmed from water damage during heavy rains. Damp, musty smells, and wet floors were causing Chris unnecessary stress! He decided to call Ayers for professional waterproofing solutions. Our crew inspected the damaged area and determined our WaterGuard system would resolve these leaks. WaterGuard is a subfloor drainage system that collects the water leaking through the walls. The placement along the perimeter of the basement and below the walls ensures this. We hooked the system to his sump pump, so the water gets directed there rather than the floor. To conceal the drain, we pour concrete on top. Chris is ecstatic with the results and is glad he doesn't experience any more musty smells or damp floors!

Sandy wanted to insulate and encapsulate her crawl space to keep the heat in her home, so she called Ayers. Our crew inspected the crawl space to determine the best solution. Our professionals recommended CleanSpace. This product consists of a thick liner made of plastic that covers the crawl space floor and walls. The liner has a vapor barrier that prevents excess moisture buildup that leads to nasty mold or bacteria growth. This solution is long-lasting and waterproof, unlike a regular store-bought tarp that is only a temporary fix. These regular tarps also do not provide an airtight seal that protects the area from outside pests and moisture from the soil. CleanSpace will encapsulate Sandy's crawl space while keeping the heat inside as she desires!

Daniel and Johnathon recently got their home when they realized the floors were sagging. Unsure of what to do, they contacted us at Ayers Basement Systems, and our team conducted an inspection. Our team concluded the floor joist below needed structural support as the previous supports deteriorated. SmartJacks were installed to level and permanently stabilize the floor. By utilizing load-bearing bases and steel column jacks; our team was able to level the floor and provide a permanent solution for Daniel and Johnathon!

The depths of this home were dark, damp and desperately needed some TLC. To stop moisture from entering the crawl space, our team installed CleanSpace. This durable, thick plastic liner seals off the home from the dirt ground and keeps water out. It’s manufactured with an antimicrobial additive, which prevents mold growth, keeping the space nice and healthy. Additionally, SilverGlo insulation panels were installed to keep the space warm. The graphite particles in the insulation reflect heat back into the space, which consequently helps keep upstairs room warm, too. The last step in keeping this crawl space dry was the installation of a SaniDry dehumidifier. This dehumidifier is just as energy efficient as its counterparts, but SaniDry removes up to 4 times more moisture from the air. Generally speaking, dry air in a crawl space equals clean air—the dehumidifier lowers humidity which also lowers the chances of mold growing. This crawl space is now dry, bright and healthy!
