Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Kathleen was frantically trying to find waterproofing solutions for her basement. Water was seeping through the walls down there. The fans were a temporary fix, so she called Ayers for a permanent one. One of our system design specialists inspected the area and determined our WaterGuard and TripleSafe sump pump systems would eradicate the leaks. First, WaterGuard is an interior drainage system that fits in the subfloor of the basement below the walls. The drain collects the water and directs it to the sump pump instead of pooling on the floor. We pour concrete over the drain to conceal it. TripleSafe is a three-pump system that fits in one durable liner and keeps the water out of the home. With these waterproofing systems in action, Kathleen is feeling protected and relieved!

This moldy, debris filled crawl space in Arcadia, MI needed some major work, but was nothing Ayers couldn't handle.

First, the crew worked to remove all debris and organic material from the basement. With that out of the way, they could start the mold removal process. By encapsulating the mold with Mold-X, it was neturalized and stopped from continuing to spread in the crawl space. Combined with CleanSpace, the mold would go dormant. CleanSpace is a white liner, shown in the after picture, that acts as a vapor barrier to keep moisture out of the crawl space. It is durable and mold resistant, and the final step for this crawl space. With that installed around the walls and piers, the crawl space was offically mold and moisture free!

When this cottage was up for purchase after years of vacancy, the buyer noticed that the crawl space would need a lot of work before it was ready for use. The biggest concern for the buyer was the layer of fungus that covered the crawl space floor in the before photo. After the crew first used Mold-X to control the fungi and mold that was already present in the crawl space, they began the installation of a vapor barrier to make sure that the problem never happened again. The CleanSpace barrier in the after photo was installed tight to both the ground and walls. Impenetrable by both moisture or humidity, the CleanSpace liner keeps out the main ingredients to mold and fungus. With the CleanSpace system installed, this home is all set for occupancy. 

John and Nancy want to better insulate their crawl space and give it a clean finish. So they called our team about encapsulation options and we installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. Nell had a moisture issue in her crawl space that she wanted fixed to protect the home. To get rid of the moisture and keep the home safe we installed Drainage Matting, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, SmartSump, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Drainage Matting has raised dimples in it which direct the water to the sump pump to be dispelled outside the home. CleanSpace is a thick liner that prevents water vapor, pests, and humidity from entering into the space. The SmartSump is a sump pump designed for a crawl space and protects from leaks or floods. The SaniDry has a small size, perfect for the crawl space, and keeps the area dry.
