Vicky A had water seeping into her Muskegon basement and constantly trickling across the floor. Water had also started to accumulate in the corner of her pump room. The basement floor had several cracks which allowed about 5 gallons of water to enter the space a day. We fitted a complete Waterguard perimeter drainage system in Vicky's basement. Several feed lines were installed in the cracks to capture and redirect incoming water to the newly installed TripleSafe sump pump. Vicky also opted to have our CleanSpace plastic liner installed to capture water vapor seeping through her foundation walls and send it to the sump pump.
Walter wanted to encapsulate and waterproof the entry to his crawl space, so he contacted Ayers. The team at Ayers conducted a home inspection and determined CleanSpace would be a perfect solution! CleanSpace utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner, creating a moisture barrier to keep water out! Walter was thrilled with not only the look of the entrance but, more importantly, that it was waterproofed!
Bryan and Michelle had us out to do some waterproofing in the past but only in certain areas in the basement. They recently had some more water coming in from cracks in their downstairs shower. We installed the WaterGuard Below Floor Drain to keep water out of the finished basement. It connects with the sump pump that we installed previously to keep water pumping up. The drain is installed below the floor but atop the foundation footing to keep it from flooding. All concrete is restored after installation so you don't have an unsightly drain in the space.
Walter had his crawlspace encapsulated a few years ago by another company and it did not hold up as promised. Rain water was starting to seep into the crawlspace again, so he called Ayers for a CleanSpace installation. CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air also takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawlspace will in turn cut down on energy costs. Walter was grateful that his crawlspace actually will last decades like its supposed to.
Zachary’s Muskegon home began to show signs of a foundation issue a few years ago. Now, the floor joists were sagging so bad that the rest of the house, including the roof, was starting to sag, crack, and bow. Zachary called Ayers for an inspection. Our crew determined that he would need SmartJacks in the crawl space to stabilize the foundation.
SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete.
Our crew completed the project quickly and Zachary was more than happy with the work provided by Ayers. He was so relieved to finally get this project taken care of.
