Mike and Stacey realized the sump pump in their basement wasn't doing the job. The liner was always full, and there seemed to be other water problems starting to sprout throughout the basement. The couple decided to find a solution and contacted Ayers.
After their home was thoroughly inspected, the Team at Ayers suggested a couple of different waterproofing products. One of which was the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe houses two pumps within one-liner. If the bottom pump ever runs into a problem, the secondary pump will aid in pumping water out of the home. After the TripleSafe was installed in Mike and Stacey's house, they knew they wouldn't ever have to worry about their sump pump being overloaded again!
An uneven walkway was the reason behind this Muskegon, MI visit. When soil isn’t strong enough to hold up concrete, the slabs start to sink. This results in the uneven sidewalks and large cracks that are so commonly seen. Many don’t know that there is a solution other than replacing the whole slab. Luckily, Ayers has the technology to fix it in just minutes.
PolyLevel is our answer to settling soils and was perfect for fixing these uneven and cracked steps. The polymer foam was injected below the surface of the concrete and as it expanded to fill the voids left by soil, it created a stable base for the slab to rest on. The owners don’t have to worry about the foam washing away or giving in either. PolyLevel is waterproof and guaranteed for 25 years under our warranty. If you’ve been thinking about raising concrete slabs at your home, then now is the time to step up and give Ayers a call!
After heading down to their basement and discovering almost 5” of water, these Muskegon, MI customers knew it was time to do something about their flooding situation. The main source of the water were the multiple cracks in the basement floor, one of which was right at the bottom of the basement stairs. That water would then pool up and spread across the basement.
To give the water an extra spot for drainage and protect the basement stairwell, the crew installed an interior TrenchDrain. By placing the drain at the foot of the steps, the crew was able to prevent the large crack in the before photo from leaking water into the rest of the basement or damaging the steps. The TrenchDrain was hooked up to rest of the discharge system so that the water could be safely deposited outside of the home. Working alongside the rest of the waterproofing system that was installed, the TrenchDrain should be able to give these homeowners the dry and protected basement they’ve been looking for.
This customer called because ever since work was done on a road nearby he was experiencing a lot of water leakage in his basement. When he found 5 inches of water taking over his basement he knew he should contact us for help.
Our crew found that there were several cracks in the floor allowing water to enter his space. In order to fully waterproof his basement we decided to install WaterGuard, a TrenchDrain, a SuperSump, an IceGuard and an additional discharge line.
WaterGuard is a drainpipe that is installed on the interior perimeter of a basement floor to ensure any water leakage will filter into the pipe and exit into a sump pump. The pipe is placed on top of the footing and slightly away from the wall to prevent it from clogging with dirt and debris and to ensure any water that leaks from the wall will have enough room to filter into the pipe and exit.
We also installed a TrenchDrain, which is a drain that is placed in the interior of a home in front of a door that leads outside. This drain is effective because it catches any water from outside that could leak into your basement through a door. This also pairs well with the WaterGuard system to make sure any water will drain into the sump pump and exit your home.
A SuperSump sump pump was installed to prevent his basement from flooding by draining any existing water into it and pumping it outside of the house. This system has an airtight lid that will prevent water vapor from evaporating into the basement, which would create even more moisture in the air. The sump pump lid also includes a drain in case of a flood and a pump alarm that will go off if the pump fails.
A new discharge line was also installed to make sure any water collected through the WaterGuard and SuperSump systems would exit the basement efficiently. An IceGuard was installed on the discharge line to make sure if the pipe freezes water will be able to automatically flow out of the holes in the system. This ensures water will exit from the pipe and not go back into your home, which can cause a flood.
Glenn C. will no longer have to worry about a leaky, wet basement!
Water began to seep through cracks in Forrest and Judy’s basement walls. So they called our team for help and we installed the CleanSpace Basement Finishing Wall System. This system utilizes a poly sheet material to completely cover basement foundation walls and act as a vapor and moisture barrier. The material is waterproof, stain resistant and can be applied over many different types of surfaces.
