Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Matthew recently moved into his home and couldn't stand the eye sore that was his crawl space. He wasn't sure what to do or if it was an issue, but he knew he needed it fixed. After calling Ayers, we sent a crew of specialists to his home to evaluate and suggest a solution. They recommended CleanSpace, an antimicrobial vapor barrier, applied to the crawl space walls and floors continuously to prevent mold growth and eliminate moisture. Matthew is blown away at his shiny crawl space!

Tim's Pinconning, MI home was built in 1945. It had previously belonged to his mother since the 70s. Years ago, a cement trucked parked right next to the house, cracking areas of the foundation. Since then, the cracks have only gotten worse, forming a major stair-step crack throughout the basement. Water comes though whenever it rains and Tim has to be in the basement with a shop-vac for hours cleaning up the mess. 

Tim was looking for peace of mind regarding the home that protected him and his family for years, so he called Ayers Basement Systems. Our crew came out for an inspection and determined Tim would need CarbonArmor to stabilize the foundation, and WaterGuard and CleanSpace to combat the water coming in.   

CarbonArmor is a flexible, fabric like epoxy that is 10x stronger than steel. The epoxy adheres to your basement walls and penetrates into the surface to reinforce and stabilize the foundation.   

WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through basement walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth.   

With all of these products combined, Tim is ensured a safe, dry, and sturdy home for years to come. He was thrilled with the professionalism of the crew and great communication throughout the project. He can't wait to start making new memories in his mother's old house!

This bowing basement wall was in need of serious help. Stair-step cracks were found, which is a common sign of wall failure in block foundation walls. This often means that the problem is worsening because as the wall continues to bow, the corners have to rely on adjacent walls to hold it up, creating the stair-step cracks.

We installed the PowerBrace system to support the basement wall. This system involves steel beams that are secured to joists above the wall with steel brackets. The beams are coated in zinc to prevent corrosion and the braces use a joist reinforcement technique to transfer the weight of the wall evenly across the basement ceiling so the floor above is not disturbed. 

Charlene couldn't stand the musty smell wafting throughout her home any longer and had no idea where it was coming from. After researching, she decided to call Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. Our crew of experts examined her home and found a moist, moldy crawl space. They recommended and installed CleanSpace, a vapor barrier engineered to eliminate moisture and mold growth. Charlene loves how fresh her house smells!

After just buying a home, Ramon realized that water was getting into his basement. Ramon decided to contact Ayers for a professional opinion. After an inspection of his house, The team at Ayers concluded water was coming up and into the basement through cracks in the floor. While Ramon did have a sump pump present, it appeared there was a failure with the system. Ayers suggested installing TripleSafe as it would efficiently pump all the water out of his basement. TripleSafe utilizes two pumps within one-liner, with the addition of an external battery in the case of a power outage. After installing TripleSafe, Ramon no longer had issues with standing water in his basement!
