Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Adina and Terry had water issues around the perimeter of their finished basement so they had to rip up the carpet. There was no moisture found on the walls or signs of water. They didn't have a sump pump to get rid of the water and they wanted to be able to use the space again. We installed the WaterGuard which is a French drain system under the floor but above the foundation to keep it from clogging. We also installed the SuperSump Premier Pump System with the added battery back up to make sure the basement stays dry for extended periods of time even when there is heavy water intrusion, even in the event of a powere outage. Lastly we installed the SaniDry XP, a basement dehumidifier that keeps dry air circulating throughout the space to keep the area dry. It is ideal for finished basements because it can be stored in a corner or closet so it is not in the way.

This home has a walkout from the basement that contains 4 concrete slabs. The 2 slabs that are closest to the house are sloping towards the home. The homeowner wants the walk out level but also the 2 slabs fixed so that in the winter there isn't a giant spot of ice right outside the sliding door. We used PolyLevel to lift the slabs and restore the position of them to make the walkout area level. PolyLevel is a light weight injectable foam that is sprayed under the concrete. It is waterproof and stable so it won't get washed away or react with the soil underneath. The best part is that it cures in about 15 minutes so the homeowners can be back to using the walkout in no time!

Homeowners in Ada, Michigan, enlisted Ayers to update their outdated egress window to meet current code standards. After recently finishing their basement to include a kitchenette and additional living space, they wanted to enlarge the existing window to ensure proper egress and enhance the safety and functionality of the area. As a bonus, the home's value increased with the space now brought up to code.

Aliyah gave Ayers the call when she noticed her current sump pump wasn't able to keep up with the water anymore. We had a crew come take a look to determine the best solution, which was to install our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This sump pump has three pumps total that fit in one durable liner and will effectively keep any water out of the basement. The first pump does most of this job, the second will run if more assistance is needed, the last pump is battery-operated for power failures. Aliyah was grateful to get a more efficient sump pump installed so she won't have to worry about her belongings getting soaked!

Matt had a slant in his living room floor and wasn't sure how to fix the problem. As the slant deepened, he knew he needed help, so he called Ayers to learn about our foundation solutions. Our crew of experts visited his home to examine the space and recommended installing the SmartJacks supplemental support system. SmartJacks is a collection of floor jacks hot-dipped in galvanized steel and zinc plated to promote durability. The base of each jack is implanted two feet below the surface to reduce load-bearing stress. Matt loves having a balanced living room!
