Christopher was on the lookout for a company that would sell him an Egress Window that would replace his small basement window. He found that Ayers sells Egress Windows and decided to make the call. Our customer care team spoke with Chris and an appointment was set.
These Egress Windows are the perfect fit for basements because they are larger which will open up the space making it feel less like a dark dungeon and more like a finished room. More natural light and fresh air will fill the room. They also provide a safe exit option for emergencies and are waterproof which will come in handy during heavy rains. Chris was very happy to complete his basement with this window!
Marlene’s Traverse City home had always been chilly during the winter, particularly in the bedrooms, which were the coldest areas of the house. An inspection revealed the problem: an open-vent crawl space without insulation at the rim joist, allowing frigid air to enter. To resolve the issue of cold floors, CleanSpace vent covers and spray foam insulation were installed, effectively sealing out the cold air. Now, Marlene can finally enjoy a warm and cozy home!
A customer had flooding in his basement due to his sump pump system overflowing. So our team installed TripleSafe, a sump pump system that’s main goal is to keep your basement dry. This system provides ultimate protection against all basement leakage and any moisture problems. There are three pumps within this system including one battery powered pump. Therefore, it can handle the highest pumping demands.
This Traverse City couple wants to finish their basement and add bedrooms for their kids. Before doing that, they knew that there were some projects that needed to be completed first - adding egress windows and encapsulating the crawl space. The egress windows allow for a safe exit in case of emergencies as well allowing more natural light into the area! For keeping the crawl space dry, we used Drainage Matting and the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. Drainage Matting directs the flow of water, if any, to the sump pump and the CleanSpace keeps out water vapor.
The customer called with a very understandable problem: his crawl space was full of spiders, and he wanted it to not be full of spiders. Presence of critters big or small is an indication of a crawl space exposed to the elements, so we knew that encapsulation was the place to start.
After installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier system to protect the crawl space from the elements - and the home from the crawl space - we used spray foam insulation to seal off the joists and complete the insulation process.
