After years of living with a damp basement, long-time South Haven, MI resident, Rosy B., decided to contact Ayers Basement Systems to assist in a very needed transformation. To complete Rosy’s crawl space, we began by encapsulating it with the CleanSpace encapsulation system. The CleanSpace Liner is made out of a thick, durable vapor barrier that is designed to keep moisture, mold, and pests out.
Next, we installed a SuperSump pump. The SuperSump’s powerful cast-iron sump pump is capable of pumping 2,500 gallons of water per hour and protects your home from flooding. In addition, we installed an IceGuard system that ensures Rosy’s SuperSump will continue working even during harsh Michigan winters.
Alena's floors were sagging and her foundation was settling. She only has a crawl space under her main floor, no basement. Due to the moisture and soils in your crawl space floors above crawl spaces are vulnerable. So our team installed SmartJack, a system produced to halt your sagging floors. Floors above crawl spaces are vulnerable due to the moisture and soils in your crawl space. The Smart Jack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods and a solid base to address any issues your crawl space may introduce to your floors. Installing this system usually takes less than a day and it provides immediate stabilization.
Sue had some moisture issues in her crawl space and it was causing musty odors to come up into the home. She has always had a dehumidifier but is now looking for a permanent solution. We used Drainage Matting to have space between the liner and the ground. The CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier keeps humidity, pests, and water vapor out to keep the area dry and odor free.
A customer had heavy water intrusion in her crawl space which was causing mold growth and rotting. Water was constantly entering and often would flood the crawl space. So our team installed CleanSpace, an uninterrupted vapor barrier. This material is applied to the walls and floor of your crawl space. It restricts all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. This system creates an energy-efficient crawl space, and it also gives your crawl space a clean finish.
Allen was having some water issues in his basement where water was coming in from the back 2 corners. The water creates small puddles and this has been happening for a couple years. He just wanted it fixed finally so he called us for a solution to the problem. We first installed the WaterGuard system. It is a French drain system that is installed under the floor but above the foundation to keep it out of the area where it could clog. The WaterGuard collects the water that seeps into the basement and gets it out of the house through the discharge line. We also attached the IceGuard to the discharge line to keep the line from freezing in the winter. The frozen water in the pipes would cause a back up of water which could lead to flooding in the basement but the IceGuard ensures a secondary route for the water to escape in cold months.
