Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Ryan knew when he moved into his new house, he needed to do something about the nasty crawl space. He wasn't sure what to do, so he called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a team of experts to his house to evaluate the situation. They recommended the installation of CleanSpace, an antimicrobial-lined vapor barrier built to prevent mold growth and moisture entry. CleanSpace is applied entirely to the crawl space walls and floors to provide encapsulation. Ryan loves the new look of his crawl space!

Barbara basement walls were cracking, and she worried if they were left untreated, those cracks would continue to grow. This customer called because he noticed significant cracking in his basement wall. Our team of experts visited his home and found a sure sign of wall failure: horizontal cracking. Horizontal cracks usually start out small and continue to increase in size over time. Without a proper fix, the soil outside of his home will continue to put constant pressure on the wall, causing it to crack and bow inward even further. This can cause serious problems for a homeowner in the future if it is not taken care of. 

To prevent his wall from failing we decided to install the Geo-Lock anchor system. This system involved the installation of steel earth anchors underneath the soil out away from the home. These anchors are then connected and secured to steel plates located on the foundation wall using steel rods. This ensures your wall is stabilized and will not continue to bow inward any further. A great benefit of these wall anchors is that the rods can be tightened during dry periods when the soil is not pushing on the house as much, which can begin to straighten the wall over time. 

Jeff called up Ayers for a crawl space renovation. After inspection, our Ayers System Design Specialist decided CleanSpace would do the trick. They even decided to install our Drainage Matting to ensure it stays dry. 

CleanSpace utilizes a durable, thick plastic liner that runs along the crawl space. It contains a vapor barrier, protecting it from excess moisture that can lead to bacteria or mold growth. Our Drainage Matting is lined underneath the CleanSpace plastic liner. This dimpled mat allows water to pass underneath making sure it reaches the drain.

This new system in Jeff's crawl space will ensure it stays dry and clean for decades!
