Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Jackie couldn't believe how much water pooled in her basement after the last storm. She knew her old sump pump had probably failed, so she called Ayers for help. Melissa and Terry’s historic home near Blue Lake in Climax, MI, showed severe signs of age—sloping floors, crumbling foundations, and unwanted critters in the crawl space. To lift and stabilize their sagging floors, we installed crawl space support jacks (SmartJack® system) and a structural spray concrete layer (shotcrete) to seal and reinforce the old fieldstone foundation. We then added drainage matting to manage water beneath the surface and sealed everything with a heavy-duty crawl space moisture barrier (CleanSpace®). Now, Melissa and Terry have a safer, drier, and stronger home; they can feel confident in it for years to come.

Ben wanted his crawl space encapsulated so he called our team and we installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. Not only does this system create an energy-efficient crawl space, but it also gives your crawl space a clean finish. This material will be applied to your floors and walls to create a sleek look and an uninterrupted barrier.

Elma's crawl space was in rough condition since dirt and debris covered the floor. She did not have this area properly encapsulated to protect her home from outside pests or moisture. She decided to call Ayers for our crawl space repair options, so we sent a crew for an inspection. Our system design specialists recommended CleanSpace to encapsulate the area. Before we place this thick waterproof liner on the crawl space floor, we install the Drainage Matting first. This product gives the water leaking into the crawl space a channel underneath the liner. The raised dimples in the mat help direct the water to the sump pump system rather than accumulating on the floor. Next, we installed the airtight CleanSpace liner to provide a barrier between the moist ground and the home. This product has a vapor barrier that prevents the buildup of excess water that leads to mold or bacteria. When the crew showed Elma the results, she was shocked by the total transformation of her crawl space!

Gary purchased his home about a year ago and everything was great. He recently noticed a crack 3/4 the length of the basement wall and it was bowing inward. We installed the CarbonAmor Wall Reinforcing System to stabilize the wall. This system includes flexible carbon fiber fabric straps that are up to 10 times stronger in tension than steel. These straps are bonded to the wall using a high strength epoxy resin. This system requires no exterior excavation, installs quickly, and won't impact future basement finishing.
