This Zeeland, MI home had a cracked and bowed basement foundation wall that was in need of proper stabilization. We used the effective PowerBrace system to hold the wall in place and potentially help pull the wall back to its proper position. The strong steel I-beams were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then attacked to the joists above the wall to hold it in place. Once we tightened the system, the wall would no longer be able to shift and bow inward any further. We also provided the homeowners with a tightening kit that is used to continue tightening the system overtime to straighten the wall over time.

These Zeeland homeowners had a cracked and settled concrete slab on their front porch and one slab that had washed out underneath. We used PolyLevel foam injection to lift the settling slab and to fill underneath the slab that was washed out. PolyLevel is an injectable foam that is very light but strong enough to hold up concrete and the load on top of it. It is waterproof so it will not wash out or react with soil and the curing time is 15 minutes. It is the perfect solution to walkways, sidewalks, and driveways that have sunk.

One customer in Zeeland, MI needed help with the foundation of their sagging floors. Previously, this home was using wood columns in the crawlspace to support the floor above it.  Wood columns will never do a great job at supporting the floor. They are not adjustable, they cannot support heavy loads, they are vulnerable to molding and rotting, and they do not provide a long-term solution. We knew exactly what to do to fix this foundation, we installed the SmartJack system in this crawlspace to provide this home with a long-term solution to their foundation. This is done by excavating a cube of soil where the SmartJack will be placed.  Then, this hole gets filled with a strong concrete, then the base for your SmartJack is ready and will not need to depend on weak foundation soil to hold your home up. Due to poor insulation around the window, most windows usually offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home. However, egress windows will help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house. Also, egress windows provide a safe exit in case of emergency so they are required in finished basement living areas. In addition, these windows provide lots of natural light.
