Wade needed his crawl space encapsulated so he called our team. So our team installed CleanSpace, an uninterrupted vapor barrier that is applied to the walls and floor of your crawl space. It restricts all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. This system creates an energy-efficient crawl space, and it also gives your crawl space a clean finish.

This family called us because they had water occasionally coming in their crawl space which was causing mold to grow and they had a dirt floor allowing critters and outside air in. We all know mold is not something that should be taken lightly as it can cause health issues and can tremendously affect the resale value of your home. The homeowner and system design specialist agreed that installing our CleanSpace system would be the best answer. CleanSpace ensures that the crawl space will be isolated from the earth so no critters, air or ground water can evaporate into the atmosphere of the space. It's also made of a very thick plastic so there is no worrying about it tearing or not holding up. The liner is also made with an antimicrobial additive that prevents the growth of mold. 

After being told by an adjuster that water was leaking into his crawl space, this customer put in a call for help to a company he knew he could trust. We had done some work on the basement of another one of his properties a few years back and he was extremely satisfied with our services. Our system design specialist went for a visit and found that the issue was worse than the owner originally thought. Not only was the leaking water hurting his crawl space, it was affecting the basement, as well. The water would leak in through the crawl space walls and then flow down to the basement.

To put a stop to the leakage, the crew encapsulated both the walls and floor with the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is impenetrable by moisture or water vapor. Underneath the barrier is a drainage matting designed to keep water from pooling and direct it to the drain for discharge. If any water does make it through the crawl space walls, it will flow behind the vapor barrier and then be directed out by the drainage matting.

This family opted to encapsulate their entire crawl space to prevent the spread of mold caused by standing water. Cold, unsealed crawlspaces also allow that cold air to travel to the living space above, which is why your floors are so cold. We also insulated the floors with TerraBlock Crawl Space Floor Insulation which can be installed on uneven surfaces and prevents moisture from entering your crawl space. We also insulated the rim joists which are a common entry point for cold, moist outside air.
