Denise realized that his foundation had been shifting and that his crawl space was accumulating moisture. Denise decided to call Ayers to explore his options, and a System Design Specials was sent to his home for an inspection. The Ayers team concluded that multiple foundational and waterproofing systems were needed to address his problems. One of the products installed was CleanSpace which utilizes a durable, heavy-duty plastic liner that lines the crawl space. The liner created a vapor barrier preventing moisture from entering the house. Instead, the water drains behind the liner and funnels into a drain system. Louise was dealing with a weak and rotting wooden support system in his crawl space as well as mold growth. With CleanSpace this thick, durable, and waterproof plastic liner covers the crawl space floor and will provide the vapor barrier he needed for this space. Then we went ahead and installed SmartJacks which is a supplemental support system meant for crawl spaces that will support sagging beams and floor joists. It is installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and a sturdy base at the floor. Louise was grateful for these new installations that work together to keep his home safe!
