Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Some sump pump manufacturers will sell you their sump pump by saying that you get free replacements or a lifetime warranty but how true is that? But think about it, how will you know when your pump needs to be replaced? Probably once it has already flooded your entire basement which is what we're trying to prevent. So basically your lifetime warranty of free replacements are going to be no help. 

We have the best pumps on the market. There is literally a pump to suit everyones basement needs. The SuperSump installed here comes with an airtight lid to prevent water from evaporating back into your basement and to prevent unwanted debris from clogging your pump.  There is also a pump stand to elevate the pump above the sump liner a little bit so no clogging and keep everything clean. The best part too is that it comes equipped with a pump alarm to alert you if its failing or your basement is in danger of being flooded. 

Laurie and Jim’s found Ayers through their neighbor, who we did work for a few years ago. They were enjoying their retirement in their Edwardsburg, MI lake home when they noticed sagging floors above the crawlspace. They called Ayers and when we came for an inspection, our crew saw that the old foundation supports were extremely corroded and needed to be replaced. 

Our crew decided SmartJacks would be the perfect solution for their home. SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete. 

Laurie and Jim were ecstatic to get their peace of mind back regarding the structural integrity of their home. This home will be their forever home and Laurie and Jim are so excited to start this new chapter together. 

Gene was looking into getting an egress window mainly for safety purposes. He saw that Ayers sold Egress Windows so he decided to make the call. We had our customer care team set up an appointment and we went forward with the installation!

The benefits of Egress Windows are plentiful. First off, they provide the quick and easy exit option he was looking for in emergency situations. They are also much larger than typical basement windows which means more natural light and fresh air will fill the room. Installing an Egress Window will even add value to the home in the long run and is especially nice if he is looking to finish his basement. We also installed a lid cover to prevent debris and water from filling the well, keeping it well protected for longer.

Sometimes a crack in your foundation is just a crack. But more often than not, it's a sign that something much bigger is wrong.

This time, it was the latter. We were called for a foundation repair but discovered that much more work was needed, and the homeowner decided to just take care of everything in order to ensure that the basement stays dry all the time, rather than try to fix problems as they arose.

We installed WaterGuard (pictured) with LawnGuard outlets, a TripleSafe sump pump, a SaniDry dehumidifier, the WellDuct window well drainage system, and power braces to strengthen the structure of the basement.

When these Montague, MI started noticing a musty smell coming from their crawl space, they knew they needed an encapsulation. That musty smell usually comes from moisture and humidity in the crawl space. Dirt floors (like the one seen in the before photo) allow vapor and heat to rise up and into the crawl space. Luckily for the owners, the CleanSpace system in the after photo is a complete vapor barrier that won’t allow moisture to pass through. The full encapsulation also covered the walls, just in case water was leaking through them as well. With the inclusion of a Sanidry CX Dehumidifier, there shouldn’t be any more trouble for this crawl space.
