Bonnie in Linden, MI, needed her driveway fixed before selling her home. When she bought the house, cracks and uneven slabs almost changed her mind, and she didn’t want the next owner to feel the same way.

Our System Design Specialist found five slabs that needed lifting, including one that was an inch too low. To keep everything looking seamless, we also recommended filling wider joints with a sand-colored material.

Our team used PolyLevel® to lift and level the slabs and NexusPro™ to seal cracks and joints. Now, Bonnie’s driveway is safer, smoother, and ready to impress buyers!

After 20+ years in her Ann Arbor home, Mary had watched her once-smooth driveway shift and sink, creating large cracks and dangerous trip hazards. The uneven surface made walking and driving unsafe, especially in Michigan winters, so she contacted Ayers for a long-term fix.

Our team used PolyLevel® concrete lifting foam to raise the sunken slabs and eliminate uneven concrete surfaces. Then, we sealed the cracks with NexusPro®, a flexible joint sealer designed to keep water out and prevent further damage.

With her driveway now level, sealed, and safe, Mary can protect her home’s value and move forward without worrying about cracked or settled concrete risks.

Michael realized water moisture was seeping into his basement and couldn't find the source. He researched his options online and called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a crew of experts to visit his home and examine the space, who recommended installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is an antimicrobial-lined material applied to the basement walls and floors without gaps to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth. Michael is relieved to have his problem fixed quickly!

Tim's Pinconning, MI home was built in 1945. It had previously belonged to his mother since the 70s. Years ago, a cement trucked parked right next to the house, cracking areas of the foundation. Since then, the cracks have only gotten worse, forming a major stair-step crack throughout the basement. Water comes though whenever it rains and Tim has to be in the basement with a shop-vac for hours cleaning up the mess. 

Tim was looking for peace of mind regarding the home that protected him and his family for years, so he called Ayers Basement Systems. Our crew came out for an inspection and determined Tim would need CarbonArmor to stabilize the foundation, and WaterGuard and CleanSpace to combat the water coming in.   

CarbonArmor is a flexible, fabric like epoxy that is 10x stronger than steel. The epoxy adheres to your basement walls and penetrates into the surface to reinforce and stabilize the foundation.   

WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through basement walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth.   

With all of these products combined, Tim is ensured a safe, dry, and sturdy home for years to come. He was thrilled with the professionalism of the crew and great communication throughout the project. He can't wait to start making new memories in his mother's old house!

Tomas had issues with the wooden support structures in his crawl space, so he called Ayers. He needed a more substantial support system, so we had our crew inspect the area to determine the best replacement. Our System Design Specialists recommended our SmartJacks. This solution will effectively support sagging beams and floor joists or provide supplemental column support where an existing column and pier foundation has settled. This solution utilizes a strong, steel foundation base installed in the subfloor for the home to sit on. The steel columns are attached to this base and can be extended in the future. We installed a steel supplemental support beam above the columns for additional help. Tomas was happy with the new support system that keeps his home stable and safe!
