We sent a crew to Christina's Sodus, Michigan, home to install a system to eliminate the cold drafts coming through her crawl space. We ultimately recommended CleanSpace as the best solution. CleanSpace is a waterproof liner with a vapor barrier, protecting the area from damp soil and outside pests. An airtight seal on the crawl space floor and walls is needed to prevent moisture buildup. A surplus in moisture leads to musty, moist air. Christina will no longer have to deal with these cold drafts of air protruding through her home!

Amy's home was built in the 1800s. For safety purposes, the house required new foundation support. She called Ayers for our foundation repair options, so we had a team of professionals head over for a free inspection. Our system design specialists recommended SmartJacks. This solution is installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and a sturdy base installed in the subfloor. This system can be easily adjusted down the road. These adjustments will even lift the floors to a level position. Amy feels relieved now that she has permanent, upgraded foundation support for her old home!

Paul's living room floor was slanted, and he wasn't sure how to fix it. Knowing this was a sign of foundation issues, he decided to call Ayers to learn about our solutions. Store-bought floor jacks often fail beneath the pressure of the home, but SmartJacks are designed to last. Each SmartJack is hot-dipped in galvanized steel, zinc-plated, and has a two-foot base depth to reduce load-bearing stress. Paul feels better about his floor!

During heavy rains Brett and Sandy’s basement would flood. In order to  waterproof their basement our team installed the WaterGuard system along with TripleSafe and IceGuard.  These three items each play a large role in keeping basements dry. Catching any leakage from higher walls and floors, the WaterGuard system will prevent water from reaching the basement floor. TripleSafe is a sump pump system that is battery powered which will allow Brett and Sandy to not worry about their basement flooding during power outages. Lastly, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System allows water to leave even when it is frozen. Installing these three pieces will keep their basement dry no matter what weather their house encounters.

We first installed our WaterGuard System which is a sub-floor drainage system designed to stop these annoying wall leaks that intrude your home space. This will collect any water and dirt which will then be directed to your sump system. We then installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System which consists of three pumps that fit in one trusty liner that work together to keep water out of your basement. The first pump will be doing most of the work while the second is there for assistance or if the first fails. The final pump is battery-operated meaning it will run during power outages.
