Lisa called our team because she wanted her basement to be turned into a liveable space so we installed an egress window and well. Most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home due to poor insulation around the window. Egress windows will help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house. In addition, egress windows provide a safe exit in case of emergency so they are required in finished basement living areas. These windows also provide lots of natural light.
David needed help leveling and lifting the concrete slabs in the front of his house. So our team installed PolyLevel, a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk by using a new product to lift the concrete slabs back to their original level. The new product used is a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.
Patricia came to Ayers seeking a solution for her home after previous work on her home did not work out. The team at Ayers sent out a specialist for an inspection, in which he determined there was no proper draining, the liner and weathered away, and the sump pump system was inefficient. Patricia opted for various waterproofing efforts to waterproof her home. One was CleanSpace, which not only makes the space look better but will keep water out and help the home stay heated or cool more efficiently. Patricia was thrilled with how her crawl space looked after CleanSpace was installed!
Donald had met one of our employees at a mutual friend’s house and said that he was having some problems with his basement. His father had built the home and there has since been many additions to the house. Donald was telling us that two of the additions are sinking which is causing some cracks on the ceiling of the first floor and cracks on the foundation walls in the basement. We inspected the problem and installed PowerBraces to stabilize the walls. The PowerBrace Wall Repair System can stop further damage and potentially straighten the walls back to the original position. The system consists of steel beams that are secure to the joists above the wall that allow for tightening.
Kara bought this Muskegon home just a couple days before water started leaking into her basement due to the snow. The water was coming in where the floor and walls meet in 2 areas. We had a solution for her to keep her basement dry. We first installed the WaterGuard system which is a French drain that is installed under the floor but above the foundation so it does not clog. The drain collects water that seeps into the basement from cracks and sends it to the sump pump to be expelled outside the home. We also installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System which has three levels of protection in case of a pump malfunction or a power outage which gives home owners peace of mind that the area will be dry. Next we installed the CleanSpace Wall System which keeps water vapor from passing through your foundation walls and directing it to your sump pump. The syste also has an anti-microbial protection built right in so no mold or mildew will grow on the CleanSpace! Lastly we installed the SaniDry XP which has a powerful motor that keeps dry air circulating throughout the space to dry out the area. The collected water can be drained into a sump pump pit or a section of your perimeter drain. The best part is that this model of dehumidifiers can be stores in a corner or closet so it won't interfere with a finished basement.
