These homeowners from Fowler, MI called us about their basement wall that began developing cracks. The homeowners braced the wall on their own but knew they needed to seek a permanent fix. They were extremely concerned and called us to seek professional help. We came to their home and installed wall anchors. Wall anchors are perfect for returning the wall back to its original position and reinforcing the entire foundation. We stabilize the home with a steel rod that runs from the wall anchor to an anchor placed in the exterior of the home. Once we place the plates we have permanently stabilized the basement.
Dan's block foundation home began to show signs of foundation problems. Large stair-steeping cracks had formed within the foundation walls. Over time the cracks in the walls got worse, and it appeared the wall was pushing outwards. Understanding how crucial the foundation is, Dan decided to call Ayers. After making an appointment, a System Design Specialist with Ayers went out to Dan's home to make an assessment. The assessment determined that the walls were bowing and that the PowerBrace system would be perfect for the job. The PowerBrace system utilizes steel I-beams that are connected to the floor joist above the foundation wall to help distribute the weight of the home. The PowerBrace system will stop cracks in their tracks for Dan's house and will permanently stabilize his foundation!
Doug was tired of dealing with the musty odor coming from his dirty crawl space that was not sealed properly so he called Ayers hoping for a permanent fix. We had a crew come to his home for an inspection and from there it was concluded he needed CleanSpace. This is a thick, durable plastic liner that will cover his crawl space floor and walls protecting it from excess moisture and water. This excess moisture can build up and cause mold or bacteria to flourish. We also add a Drainage Matting which is a dimpled mat placed under the liner that will catch water and direct the flow to his drain and sump pump system.
Doug was happy to get his crawl space sealed up and protected; no more musty smells!
You can have basement flooding even if you don't have a basement. Such was the case in this Eaton Rapids split-level house; the sump pump was running almost constantly and even then there were times it couldn't keep up.
A new M-53 Zoeller pump replaced the old hole in the ground, and everything was as good as new.
Another day, another sinking floor from a too wet crawl space. JoAnne called us to get her crawl space dry and keep it that way, as well as to lift her sinking floors.
After the new discharge line, LawnScape outlet and IceGuard system were in place, we installed a few SmartJack crawl space stabilizers to add support to the foundation and lift the sinking floors. Then we used the CleanSpace vapor barrier system with drainage matting to protect the crawl space (and the floors above) from natural moisture in the air.
