Joan F. from Lansing, MI had a grungy crawl space beneath her home that was letting cold air into her home, on top of being dirty. This was causing her heating bill to skyrocket in the winter and she needed a fix. 

We installed our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the surrounding elements. No more dirt, water, or cold air with can enter the crawl space with this installment. And as an added bonus, CleanSpace is made with anti-microbial properties that prevent mold growth. 

This customer had water seeping into the corner of his basement where the floor and wall met. A small puddle of standing water was also constantly forming on the floor even though a sump pump was present in the home. This homeowner was looking for an effective solution to collect and discard leaking water and our team of experts knew exactly what to do.

To properly collect and discard intruding water into the sump pump, we installed the WaterGuard system, which is an effective perimeter drainage system. This system was installed underneath the flooring around the interior perimeter of the basement. Water entering the home is able to flow down into the drainage pipes, rather than onto the floor and is carried directly to the sump pump to be discarded from the home. A WaterGuard inspection port was also installed to make sure we have access to the system if ever needed in the future.

Shelly had a partically finished basement that was leaking. We installed the WaterGuard system which is a French drain that is under the floor to collect water as it seeps in. The water collected is then sent to the sump pump to be discharged outside the home keeping the basement dry.

Crawlspace protection is important and often mislooked by homeowners. To fully protect your crawlspace, Ayers recommends the combination of CleanSpace and a SaniDry dehumidifier to create a healthy environment for your crawlspace.
