Brian has owned his Conklin, MI home for about 40 years and he plans on keeping it in the family. A slab of concrete on the patio has cracked and dropped 4 to 5 inches. Brian called Ayers Basement Systems for an inspection. Our crew determined that he would need NexusPro and PolyLevel to correct his concrete. Brian had gotten a previous quote that was slightly cheaper but ultimately went with Ayers because of the level of professionalism and quality of craftsmanship we provide. He was confident that we were the right choice to make his home safe again.
NexusPro is a sealant that fills the cracks in the concrete. It is extremely withstanding to harsh weather so it will remain intact for years. Our PolyLevel system is used to repair sinking concrete by drilling minuscule holes into the slab and filling them with foam. The foam raises the slab and fortifies it to make it last even longer.
Brian was thrilled with the choice he made to go with Ayers Basement Systems and enjoyed every moment of the crew being at his home. He no longer has to worry about the kids running around and tripping on cracked, unleveled concrete and is ecstatic about it!
Don't let your crawl space live up to the stereotype; get the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that is fitted to your crawl space to entirely seal it off from the earth. A family in Fremont, MI had us install this system to ensure no moisture or cold air would get into their crawl space, leading to cold air and moisture entering their home from the floor up. In addition, CleanSpace is made with an antimicrobial, hindering the growth of mold. Goodbye gross, grimy crawl space -- hello CleanSpace.
This home in Fremont, MI had both a Michigan basement and a crawl space beneath it. The homeowners had noticed that the oak floors above the crawl space would sag the summer months, and they soon realized they had a problem.
Our System Design Specialist, Sean, visited the home to explain to the homeowners what might be causing this and how to prevent it. Often times, as moisture enters the crawl space, it causes the floor joists to rot, which makes the floors above sag. It’s crucial that moisture be kept out of the space to prevent this.
To support the sagging floors in the crawl space, we installed a SmartJack stabilizer. This zinc- coated beams was connected to the girder and tightened into place. SmartJacks help lift the floors above back to their original position.
In order to keep moisture out to prevent the rotting of the floor joists, it was necessary that we seal off the space from the earth. Using CleanSpace, an extremely durable crawl space liner, we did exactly this. The liner is even manufactured with an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold growth.
By giving this crawl space some attention by sealing it off and adding support for the floors, the homeowners can be sure that the floors above the space will be stable in the future.
Homeowners had water entering their basement so they called our team. In addition to installing other systems, our team installed the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System. This system allows water to leave even when the discharge line is frozen. Therefore, this system prevents flooding even in freezing temperatures or when the snow is piled up high. Lastly, this system is totally automatic so the homeowners won’t have to worry about when they should turn it on or off.
Phil gave us a call about water leaks in his rental home. He knew a new waterproofing solution was needed so we sent out an Ayers crew for inspection. Our Ayers System Design Specialist decided that our WaterGuard System and our TripleSafe Sump Pump System would be a great fit.
WaterGuard is a sub-floor drainage system that will catch water and dirt and keep it away from your foundation. The water will be directed to your sump pump system. Concrete is then poured over top to conceal it. Next, we installed the TripleSafe which is a three pump system that fits in one liner. The first pump takes care of most of the water and the second is there for backup. The third will turn on if the others fail in a power outage emergency, as it is battery-operated.
Phil was relieved to get this waterproofing system installed, taking care of all those pesky water leaks!
