Bea is fixing up the house her father lived in and wants to rent it out to her nephew. The basement walls had cracks in them, letting in water whenever it rained. She's had injection work done before but it never seemed to work. Bea wants to fix up the basement so her nephew and his wife can finish it or safely use it as storage. She called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined CleanSpace Wall System would be perfect for the home.
CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the basement, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home.
The job went extremely well, and Bea was ecstatic with how it turned out. She is so excited to be able to rent it to her nephew so his family and grow!
Michael's walkway was uneven and cracked and he knew it was a safety hazard but wasn't sure how to fix it. After researching his options online, he called Ayers for assistance. Our team of specialists visited his home, and they suggested the installation of PolyLevel. The process starts by drilling a minimum number of pea-sized holes in the concrete slab and injecting polymer foam underneath it. The foam expands to raise the affected slab to the desired level. Michael loves his even walkway!
Scott had reached out to Ayers previously to have his foundation inspected. While he didn't go forward with the installation, the foundation worsened over the years. Eventually, Scott decided it was time to find a solution and contacted Ayers again. A System Design Specialist with Ayers went on to his home and conducted another inspection to determine what could be done to the problems. The inspection determined that Scott's walls were bowing, and the foundation was settling. While Scott installed various structural supports, one specific support was the PowerBrace System. The PowerBrace sits next to the foundation wall and attaches to the floor joist at the top of the wall. This system will stop Scott's foundation from bowing and permanently stabilizing his foundation. Scott was more than happy to have finally stabilized his home!
The basement window Rebecca currently had was not doing the trick anymore and it was very unattractive as it was starting to fall apart. She decided to call Ayers about getting an Egress Window installed to replace it. Egress Windows are larger which allows for more natural light to flow into the room, making it feel more inviting rather than dark and unwelcoming. These windows are waterproof and come with an exterior well to protect against excess water, especially during heavy rains. The main benefit is that the windows provide a safe exit option in the case an emergency occurs and you need to leave the basement quickly. Rebecca was happy with the way the Egress Window transformed her basement space to a brighter, more finished room!
Jacob noticed the cracks in his driveway and sidewalk were growing and deepening. He didn't want anyone to get hurt by the obstacle, so he researched his options and called Ayers to learn about our concrete solutions. Our team of experts visited his home to assess the issue and recommended a PolyLevel injection. PolyLevel is an advanced system of mud-jacking where polymer foam is injected into voids beneath the slabs and then expands to raise the concrete. After a brief drying period, the concrete will be stable enough to walk and drive on. Jacob feels much safer in his driveway!
