We had significant flooding in our basement this past week, including some static water coming from below the floor via cracks. Most of the water is centered on our east wall, where this is a negative grade. It flows primarily from cracks in the wall and at the base and can be steady during major water events. We live at the end of a 1/2 street that drains an upland pond. During times of extremely heavy rains, the pond floods and comes down the street, collecting at our yard, before it hits natural draining into a downrange swamp. This past event included approximately 2 inches of water throughout much of our basement. The drainage overwhelmed our sump pump. I've taken out some of of the raised flooring and have dewatered the entire basement. There is still residual dampness, which I am working on with industrial dehumidifiers and vans. I'd like to consider an interior french drain on the east wall, some exterior sealing or grading in the ground outside that wall, and perhaps an additional sump in the same area.

Two to three inches of water in basement. A hole in foundation and also dirt coming in through foundation with water in one of bedrooms. This was shown to me when I got new windows because I thought they were leaking but they weren't , the water was coming through the cracks in the foundation.
