It’s time for us to give your system a good once-over. We are proactive and usually call right around the anniversary of your original project to offer you an appointment in case you forget.
Here’s what you can expect from your maintenance appointment.
We will flush out your drain and check for any obstructions. We will also check for iron ochre which is common in wet basements. It is vital that you do annual maintenance if your home has iron ochre.
We will thoroughly check your sump pump to ensure everything is functioning properly. This is also the time to let us know if you’ve experienced any issues like a constantly running pump or if you would like to upgrade to a more powerful model.
If you opted to add a dehumidifier in your basement or crawl space, we will change the filter and ensure your basement is kept at an optimum humidity level.
If we’ve helped you stabilize your walls, we will tighten your PowerBraces or wall anchors. This is essential to straighten your walls over time. You can also let us know if you’ve noticed any other foundation wall issues.
We will check your CleanSpace liner in your crawl space for any tears or snags which is essential to fix to prevent any leaks.
During your inspection one of our service technicians will go over what they found and make suggestions to keep your home at its best - you’ll be surprised how much you learn!
