Now a water table is not something we all know about, but simply put the water table is the standing water level in the ground below your home. It isn’t something you can actually see but with enough rain you will definitely experience its effects.

Have you ever noticed how after a few days of rain you have a puddle of water in the middle of the yard? That’s a sign of your water table rising. When the water table is high the ground below it is completely saturated with water and does not have enough time to drain through the ground.
