Waterproofing a Basement for a Previous Customer's New House in Rockford, MI

Challenge

We had done waterproofing work for Cynthia in the past, but she recently called us again saying she had just sold her home and moved into a new one. Her new home was great, but her basement was not. It seemed to collect water around the perimeter near the walls, and she couldn't get rid of the overall wet feeling the basement had in the air. While we once gave Cynthia a dry basement she was satisfied with, we were determined to solve her basement problems once more. 

Solution

To combat the water in the air, the overall wet feeling, we installed a SaniDry system, which is a high-quality and powerful dehumidifier used in basements. It works to circulate air throughout the space, decrease humidity, and banish any potential mold growth. We installed SaniDry in the corner of the basement to keep it safely stored and out of Cynthia's way.

In order to prevent water from puddling on the floor, the WaterGuard system was installed around the perimeter of the basement. The concrete was removed, the system was installed, and concrete was then poured back over. While this system is discrete and hidden, it works wonders by directing the flow of water and keeping the basement dry. 

To remove any other excess water in the basement, we brought in a TripleSafe sump pump, the most reliable sump pump we offer. With two additional pumps acting as backups in case something goes wrong with the original, this system will work through any power failures or in case water overwhelms any of the other pumps.

Working with the TripleSafe system, the addition of IceGuard and LawnScape won't allow moisture to stand a chance in Cynthia's basement. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line outside of the house and prevents the line from clogging if low temperatures cause it to freeze. The LawnScape outlet at the end of the discharge line expels any water from the basement away from the house, and doesn't interfere with landscaping as it can barely be seen once installed. 

With the installation of SaniDry, WaterGuard, TripleSafe, IceGuard, and LawnScape, we are confident that Cynthia will be satifised with her basement once again, and it will stay dry all year long!
