CleanSpace Takes Care of Mold in Canadian Lakes, MI

Before Mike could sell his new home, he knew he would have to do something about his old crawl space. He knew that it might need to be encapsulated because of the moisture issues it was facing.  Our system design specialist came to a similar conclusion after discovering mold.

The crew took a trip to Canadian Lakes, MI and brought the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System with them. Seen on the walls of the after photo, CleanSpace is impenetrable by moisture or water vapor, and its’ inorganic material won’t permit mold to grow again. It should be noted that this isn’t a complete before and after. Before the project was completed, the crew also covered the floor with the CleanSpace liner. It’s left out in this picture to show the drainage matting that was also installed. The matting will prevent water from puddling in any one place and will direct water and the moisture issues of the past out of Mike’s crawl space.

The moisture issues in this crawl space were turning it into a disaster. Mold was growing on the wooden floor joists, the insulation in the ceiling was hanging, and even the vents were starting to rust. Since the owners only used the cottage part time, they had no idea just how bad their crawl space was. But when they found out, they knew they would need a permanent solution. Our crew gave them one with the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. CleanSpace is an inorganic plastic liner that can be used to encapsulate both a crawl space’s floor and walls. Which is perfect since a dirt floor is one of the major sources of entry for outside air. The plastic material won’t allow for mold growth or moisture permeation. CleanSpace Vapor barrier is the perfect product to protect your crawl space from moisture.

Job Stories From Stanwood, MI
WaterGuard and SuperSump Installation in Stanwood, MI Home

Alison L. of Stanwood, MI has a finished basement that was being destroyed by water leakage before she reached out for our help. Water was seeping in from the wood walls, which can cause mold growth, odors, and congestion.

For this project, we installed our WaterGuard French drain system and the SuperSump premier sump pump system. The WaterGuard system rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, catching all the water that seeps into the basement from the walls. After this water is collected in the drain, it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home.

The SuperSump premier sump pump system is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

These two systems work in perfect harmony to prevent any water from ruining Alison's basement any longer.

Dirty, Moist Crawl Space Revived by CleanSpace

Linda H. of Stanwood, MI had a dirty, damaged, moist, crawl space that needed to taken care of -- for good. So, she gave us a call.

We installed one of our top favorite products: our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the surrounding elements. No dirt, moisture, or water will have a chance at getting this system. And as an added bonus, CleanSpace is made with anti-microbial properties that prevent mold growth in the crawl space.

Now Linda can rest easy knowing that her crawl space is dirt and moisture free.

Complete Waterproofing Installation in Stanwood, MI

Allison L. of Stanwood, MI had some water seeping in through the basement wall and cove of her home. The floor of the basement is concrete and the walls are wood. The basement is partially finished -- because of this, Allison gave us a call.

Our solution? We installed three of our favorite patented products: the SuperSump premier sump pump system, the WaterGuard French drain system, and the EverLast finished wall restoration system. We began by installing the SuperSump. the SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

Next, we installed the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard sits below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement. Once that water is collected, it is filtered to the sump pump -- the SuperSump, in this case -- to be pumped up and out of the home.

The last step in this project was to install the EverLast system. EverLast adds insulation to a basement and is perfect for covering up and preventing any further water damage to the basement. EverLast also works perfectly with both the SuperSump and WaterGuard, making this trio unstoppable.
