FlexiSpan Seals the Real Estate Deal in Middleville, MI

This Middleville, MI resident was in the process of preparing to sell her home when she gave us a call. Worried that water seepage through a small crack in her wall would hinder the sale, she sought us out looking for an effective solution that wouldn’t break the bank.

FlexiSpan was just the thing for her. The flexible polymer was plugged into the crack to create a durable seal that will hold back water. After the sealant was in place, a drainage layer was added in front of the seal. If any water should penetrate the first layer, it will flow down the wall behind the drainage layer and into the newly installed drainage system at the foot of the wall. Hopefully, the rest of this sale goes as smoothly as the installation of the FlexiSpan system.

PolyLevel Paves the Way in Middleville, MI

Recently, the soil that was holding up the slabs of this Middleville, MI walkway had started to wash away. And without any soil below the concrete, the slabs began to sink bit by bit every time they were stepped on. Since there were only a few slabs that were visibly settled, the owner was thinking about just replacing them. After contacting us, we explained the benefits of concrete lifting instead. While the slabs would have been easy enough to replace, they weren’t the problem. The soil had washed away and would more than likely continue to, even with new slabs. A more permanent solution would involve treating the source of the problem: the missing soil and support.

For concrete lifting and leveling, we use the PolyLevel Injection System. PolyLevel is a waterproof and durable foam. Once injected below the ground, the foam fills in the voids left when the soil washed out and provides a new base for the slabs to rest on. The injections are controlled by our project managers and use only the necessary amount of PolyLevel foam to even out the path. A few minutes later and the walkway was all ready for use again.

Tradeshow Attendee Chooses to Encapsulate Crawl SpaceĀ

Ayers captured this Middleville homeowner’s attention at a tradeshow. Wayne had a crawl space in his home, and while it wasn’t damp—thankfully—he was informed on the benefits of encapsulating the space and decided to have our team come to his home and do exactly that.

Encapsulating a crawl space is a smart idea to eliminate water vapor that comes from the floor and through the walls, keep outside air from coming in, and seal off the home from the earth to keep critters out. CleanSpace is what we use to do this. This liner is thicker and more durable than other crawl space liners, and since it’s fixed to the floor and walls, it provides a foolproof, sturdy moisture barrier.

Coupled with our crawl space insulation for both the floor and walls, SilverGlo and Terrablock to help keep the floors above much warmer, CleanSpace cuts energy costs for Wayne and gives him peace of mind that the crawl space will remain dry for years to come.
