Some context - We just moved into our home 2 months ago. We also aren't sure if our sump pump is working correctly or at all. During last weeks rainfall we had water come into our basement. It appears to be from the water table rising, as the water was all clear. We were able to clean up the water ourselves and dry everything out, however, I am concerned that we will have to constantly worry about this every time there is rain.
