Jamie W. noticed the area around the chimney in her basement was leaking and as time went on the water seepage increased. The basement had block wall foundation and was finished, so the homeowner wanted the problem resolved before the rest of the area became damaged by water intrusion.
We first installed WaterGuard, which is perimeter drainage system that collects intruding water through specialized pipes at the base of each wall and automatically drains it into the sump pump, rather than allowing the water to leak out onto the floor. We also included an inspection port for the WaterGuard system that gives us access to the drainage pipes if ever needed. A FloodRing was installed around the home’s water heater to ensure the basement was protected from a burst that could cause the space to flood. This system also included an alarm that warns the homeowner of a potential leak or burst in the water heater so the issue could be addressed before an actual flood occurred.
The final installation for this project was an additional discharge line that ensured water exiting the home from the sump pump had an efficient route outside of the home.
This homeowner called because he had a slab on his sidewalk that sunk a few inches. He was looking for an effective solution that would raise the slab and prevent future settlement.
We installed the PolyLevel system to raise and stabilize the sunken slab. Several small holes were drilled into the slab and filled with a specialized polymer material that addressed the weak soils below that caused the slab to sink, while ensuring the concrete stayed in place over time. Once the holes were injected, the polymers expanded to lift the slab back to its proper position. This installation had a short cure time of 15 minutes and caused minimal disruption to the home.
Sam M. of Saint Louis, MI was experiencing some difficult issues with his crawl space. For one the scrawl space had a sand bottom, and for two, water was getting into the crawl space and soaking the sand. The crawl space was becoming very humid and this humidity was traveling up into the home. This said, we had a solution.
We installed two of our patented products for this job: the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system and the SaniDry CX standing dehumidifier. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the surrounding elements. No ate, cold air, or moisture will be able to get past this lining.
The SaniDry CX is a powerful dehumidifier that can remove up to 109 liters of water per day. This product will keep Sam's crawl space, and thus, his home, free of humidity.
One of our customers from Perrinton cslled us about their basement, they wanted help waterproofing it so that it could handle all the curveballs that michigan's weather throws us each year. We installed our SuperSump which is perfect for getting the water out of the basement as efficiently as possible.
The SuperSump contains a pump stand (prevents clogging of any debris in the sump liner), pump alarm (for when the basement floods), and an airtight sump lid with a floor drain in it (helps water to go down but not air to come up).
We've all been in an old basement with concrete floors, right? Have you noticed how the floor looks as if it's deteriorating? Well, we know how to turn back time on your concrete slabs and make them BETTER than new. We can do this by installing our PolyLevel technology, as we did on this Riverdale home.
We came to this homeowners property and installed our PolyLevel in their basement, which is an advanced polymer-based injection foam. We blast this foam in through tiny holes that are just smaller than a dime. Once we do this the concrete is level and stronger than ever. PolyLevel worked to raise and level out the concrete slabs while dealing with the weak soils below that were no longer able to hold the weight of the home above. We drilled multiple small holes into the concrete slabs in order to inject them with a polymer material that expanded to lift and level out the concrete. Once injected, the system only needed about 15 minutes to fully cure and the slabs were then stabilized and lifted to their proper level, and stronger than ever before. Now, this homeowner will not have to worry about this ever again.
Patrick is starting to buy up rental properties and recently purchased this Saint Louis home. There was a wall in the basement that was starting to bow with horizontal cracking all over the wall and over an inch of movement. He wants this home to be safe and a solution that will last 30+ years. We installed the PowerBrace Wall Repair System to stabilize the wall and even potentially straighten it. This system is made up of steel beams that are secured to the joists above the wall with steel brackets. This system also installs quickly with minimal disruption to the basement!
Rose has a wet and moldy basement and cellar. The cellar is so wet that the electrical panel has corroded. There is a sump pump present but it is not working properly. She wants the water and moisture removed to keep the home safe. We installed the WaterGuard French drain system which is a drain installed below the floor but above the foundation to keep it from clogging. It collects the water and sends it to the sump pump. We also installed the SuperSump Plus sump pump system to keep the water out of the home. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry XP which is a dehumidifier that keeps the space dry by continuously blowing dry air. This not only drys out the basement but filters air for mold spores, dust, and other particles.
Ms. Skirvin's home was destined for trouble. With water surrounding the entire foundation underneath the soil, our Foreman Randy found a list of problems. When inspecting the basement was already flooded and looking like this was not its first exposure to heavy moisture. The most unsightly issue was the bowing walls, a sign the issue was water permeating from outside the home.
After draining the Basement and dehumidifying the area, our foreman prescribed a GeoLock Anchor on the problematic wall. The system is installed by excavating the soil surrounding the bowed foundation wall. drill-shaped anchors are driven deep into the ground, past the weak wet soil, and into the firm and stable ground. On the opposite side of the problematic wall is a metal panel that is secured to the wall and bolted securely to the drill. The bolt is tightened, creating a constant tension that corrects the wall over time and prevents future issues.
Harold had water coming into his basement where the floor and wall met. He called us for waterproofing solutions. We installed WaterGuard, a below floor perimeter drain. It is under the floor but above the foundation setting so that you do not have an ugly drain in your basement. The system collects the water that seeps into the space and drains it to the sump pump to be expelled outside the home.
