This home in Fremont, MI had both a Michigan basement and a crawl space beneath it. The homeowners had noticed that the oak floors above the crawl space would sag the summer months, and they soon realized they had a problem.
Our System Design Specialist, Sean, visited the home to explain to the homeowners what might be causing this and how to prevent it. Often times, as moisture enters the crawl space, it causes the floor joists to rot, which makes the floors above sag. It’s crucial that moisture be kept out of the space to prevent this.
To support the sagging floors in the crawl space, we installed a SmartJack stabilizer. This zinc- coated beams was connected to the girder and tightened into place. SmartJacks help lift the floors above back to their original position.
In order to keep moisture out to prevent the rotting of the floor joists, it was necessary that we seal off the space from the earth. Using CleanSpace, an extremely durable crawl space liner, we did exactly this. The liner is even manufactured with an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold growth.
By giving this crawl space some attention by sealing it off and adding support for the floors, the homeowners can be sure that the floors above the space will be stable in the future.

Don't let your crawl space live up to the stereotype; get the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that is fitted to your crawl space to entirely seal it off from the earth. A family in Fremont, MI had us install this system to ensure no moisture or cold air would get into their crawl space, leading to cold air and moisture entering their home from the floor up. In addition, CleanSpace is made with an antimicrobial, hindering the growth of mold. Goodbye gross, grimy crawl space -- hello CleanSpace.

Homeowners had water entering their basement so they called our team. In addition to installing other systems, our team installed the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System. This system allows water to leave even when the discharge line is frozen. Therefore, this system prevents flooding even in freezing temperatures or when the snow is piled up high. Lastly, this system is totally automatic so the homeowners won’t have to worry about when they should turn it on or off.

We received a call from one of our customers in Fremont who needed our help with leveling out concrete in his garage. We drove to his property to install PolyLevel whcih is an advanced polymer injection foam that we blast into the concrete through small holes. After injection, the slab of concrte becomes level again and stronger than ever. PolyLevel worked to raise and level out the concrete slabs while dealing with the weak soils below that were no longer able to hold the weight of the home above. We drilled multiple small holes into the concrete slabs in order to inject them with a polymer material that expanded to lift and level out the concrete. Once injected, the system only needed about 15 minutes to fully cure and the slabs were then stabilized and lifted to their proper level, and stronger than ever before. Now, this homeowner will not have to worry about this ever again.
This customer had two stone wall and sand base crawl spaces that the homeowner wanted us to look at. There was no standing water, mold or wood rot at the time, but we wanted to seal of the space before these issues occurred.
We started by installing the CleanSpace plastic liner, which is a waterproof and vapor proof liner that keeps all moisture out of the space. Next, we installed FrothPak insulation to the crawlspace walls to seal and insulate the area. This insulation is made of inorganic materials and doesn’t absorb ambient moisture, which prevents rot and mold growth. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry dehumidification system to wring the damp air dry and circulate dry, filtered air throughout the space.
The basement wall in this Fremont, MI home was cracked and shifting. The homeowner wanted an effective solution that would permanently hold the wall in place and prevent it from worsening over time.
We installed the PowerBrace system to stabilize the wall. We started the installation by reinforcing the joists in the home to take some of the pressure off of the wall when the braces were installed. We installed the steel I-Beams in the floor at the base of the wall and then connected them to the reinforced joists above. Once tightened into place, the system immediately held the wall in place and prevented it from continuing to crack and shift. We provided the homeowners with a tightening kit as well so they can tighten the system over time to potentially pull the wall pack to its proper position.
Shelly had just purchased her new home in Fremont, MI when she discovered some water damage on the basement walls - this wasn't exactly a warm welcome. Luckily, there was no sign of actual standing water in the basement but, she did have a suspicion that mold was present. Not wanting to take any chances with the new house, Shelly gave us a call looking to make sure whatever had damaged the walls didn’t come back to cause more problems. The crew eased her worries with a full waterproofing system.
Installing a perimeter drainage system to collect and lead out any water in the basement was the first step in the process. The WaterGuard perimeter system sits in the floor and wall joint directly below where the water damage had occurred. To pump the water out once it was inside the system, the crew gave Shelly our most reliable sump pump system - the TripleSafe. The two backup pumps (one battery operated) included in the system mean that the sump will never be overpowered by water. Once the system has pumped out the water, it will be lead to a lawnscape outlet in Shelly’s backyard for final discharge. Lastly, the crew got to work on guaranteeing that mold would never show up in the basement. They installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier and attached it to the WaterGuard system, so Shelly won't have to worry about draining it herself. It took some time, but Shelly finally has the water-free and protected home she had hoped for when she first moved in. Good luck with the new house!
Glenn M. of Grand Rapids, Michigan had water coming into his basement for years before calling Ayers. The main source of the leak was around his fireplace, and it was ruining the brick and the wall. After having three basement waterproofing companies inspect the problem, Glenn chose Ayers because of our professional presentation and patented products.
The installation crew arrived two weeks after the proposal was signed and got the job done in one day. Forty feet of Waterguard was laid down around the perimeter of the basement walls. Waterguard works by collecting incoming water and funneling it to the sump pump.
Glenn was impressed with the speed and quality of the job. Now he no longer worries about flooding in his basement.
