In order to stabilize these walls, we installed Power Braces. These beams are installed against the wall and uses a joint reinforcement method to distribute the weight evenly. Tightened over time, these beams gradually improve the condition of the wall over time, and their zinc coating makes them resistant to corrosion.
To collect the water from the walls, DryTrak was installed. This system is best for monolithic slabs that include a foundation wall footing, and is designed to work with the sump pump. The drainage channel is sealed with a special adhesive to the floor, and a small space is left along the wall to allow wall leaks to drain directly into the channel. The water is collected and then rerouted to the sump pump, which will pump the water out of the basement and away from the home through a discharge line.
PowerBraces help improve the foundation walls over time to prevent future wall leaks, while DryTrak keeps the leaks under control in the basement of this Culver, MI home.
Julia was concerned about old, rusty support beams in her crawl space. They were no longer stabilizing her floors, leading to sagging, so she called Ayers. We determined from an inspection that SmartJacks would help with stabilization. This solution is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. SmartJacks are installed by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and rest on a sturdy base in the ground. They even can support loads of more than 60,000 pounds. Julia also won't have to worry about corrosion since they consist of galvanized steel for corrosion resistance!
Cindy realized the floor in her family room was slightly slanted and needed it fixed. She knew she couldn't do this project alone, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. Our team of experts stopped by her house to assess the space and suggest a solution. They recommended installing SmartJacks, a system of floor jacks hot-dipped in galvanized steel and zinc-plated to promote durability. The base of each SmartJack is placed two feet below the surface to reduce load-bearing stress by up to ninety percent. Cindy can't believe how balanced her floor is!
There were several cracks in one of Dan’s foundation walls. So he called our team and we installed the GeoLock Anchor System. This system permanently stabilized Dan's wall. In most cases it can eventually straighten the wall back to its original position. It is done by putting heavy anchors in stable soil away from your foundation wall. This system is ideal because it involves minimal disturbance to Dan's lawn and home. For Dan, we also installed the wall plate part of the GeoLock system. These plates can easily be covered to allow your basement to have a finished look.
Valentina set her water bottle on the floor, only to watch it roll to the corner of her living room. It was obvious her floor was slanted, so she called Ayers for help. We sent our team to her house to evaluate the situation and they recommended installing SmartJacks, a supplemental support system of floor jacks. SmartJacks are zinc-plated, hot dipped in galvanized steel and secured two feet in the ground to reduce load-bearing stress. Valentina feels much more balanced!
