From the representative we met at the GR Home & Garden show, to the sales rep to the installation team, everything was professionally explained w/ no pressure to buy but emphasis on understanding.
When the project was done, David had me into the crawlspace so I could see what they'd done, explained what I couldn't see, and made sure that everything was cleaned up to my satisfaction before they left. I'd recommend them (and have) to anyone that needs a job looked at, an honest opinion and estimate, and wants to see a good long term result.

Sales agent provided options and did not try to oversell what we needed. He had found an issue that the other company did not and address what needed to be done. This would have been a surprise to the other company if they did the work and would have had an additional cost that was not found out on their initial inspection. His explanations a reason for what he suggested was clear. These installers were absolutely wonderful. They reviewed what the work included. We found a misunderstanding on the work, however it was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. The crew was very polite and hard working. Stayed on task. Could not have asked for a better crew.
-
They provided the best fix for my concerns and problems. Looking forward to future and benefits gained by upgrading and insulating our crawl space. Doug was a good foreman, kept his crew moving and on task. The job was done professionally. The finished product looks great. Everyone was knowledgable, courteous, and friendly. No question was left unanswered. The installation crew was helpful and kept the job site clean.

I am very pleased with the results of my crawl space encapsulation. The sales crew, and especially the work crew did an outstanding job from start to finish. I am going to be sure to recommend Ayers to anyone I know who needs basement or crawl space work completed.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The answer is, you don’t need to. The idea that a crawl space needs to be “aired out” to prevent moisture and mold is a common misconception. The only effective way to protect your crawl space from ambient moisture and debris is to fully encapsulate it with a system like our CleanSpace® vapor barrier.
-
Mold thrives where moisture and organic materials like wood are present, making crawl spaces an ideal environment. Encapsulation and dehumidification are the most effective ways to eliminate mold and the odors that come with it.
Our CleanSpace® vapor barrier seals out ground and wall moisture, while a SaniDry™ dehumidifier such as the Sedona removes lingering humidity. Together, these solutions create a dry, controlled crawl space that mold can’t survive in.
-
In the past, crawl space vents were believed to improve airflow and keep crawl spaces dry. Over time, however, it became clear that vented crawl spaces often lead to moisture problems and the issues that come with them, including mold, wood rot, and pest intrusion.
Airflow also allows water, debris, insects, and rodents to enter, leaving the crawl space and the rest of the home unprotected. That’s why proper crawl space encapsulation includes sealing vents with airtight covers to block outside moisture and contaminants.
-
Sagging or sloping floors are often a sign of an underlying problem in your home. If you have a crawl space, excess moisture is frequently the cause. Over time, moisture can weaken the beams and floor joists beneath your home, leading to sinking or uneven floors.
Encapsulating the crawl space with a waterproof, vapor-tight CleanSpace® liner helps control moisture, while our SmartJack® support system reinforces and re-stabilizes weakened beams. Together, these solutions restore floor stability and protect your home for the long term.
-
If your floors feel cold in the winter, your crawl space may be the reason. Cold outside air can enter the crawl space and chill the floors above, making your home uncomfortable and more expensive to heat.
Proper crawl space insulation addresses three key areas: the floor, walls, and rim joists. TerraBlock® floor insulation helps block cold temperatures and ground moisture, while SilverGlo® wall insulation reflects heat back into the crawl space. Sealing the rim joists with spray foam further prevents cold air from entering. Together, these solutions improve comfort and increase energy efficiency throughout your home.
